thanks Dr. Dawn. I went to my first appt with a pelvic floor therapist today. I was very nervous. They were educating me about what's going on and asking a lot of questions, and I go back in a few days. They didn't do the internal exam today, and they try not to pressure a person, but it would've been better for me to get it over with! I have a printout on ways to start working on urinary incontinence. I want to avoid surgery. Thanks again for your explanations and encouragement. If I hadn't watched some of your videos already, and a couple of others', I would've chickened out.

I will be on 2 week post surgery and I must say, I had a pretty good experience! It was an interesting 2 weeks that I want to share to others that are getting ready to have one. First, I had one because after being in Menopause for about 3 years, I started to bleed out of nowhere! Well, it turned out to be a thickening of the uterine lining. Unfortunately for me, nothing seems to help stop it so after a year of this, I opted to have a complete hysterectomy! And Glory to God, they didn't find anything malignant after doing the lab work on the organs removed! Yeh! Now to my 2 week experience: Day 1 after surgery, I felt great, no pain! I was not hungry just sleepy so I slept a lot! Day 2, I got really bad anxiety and my BP was really high so I ended up going in to ensure nothing else was going in but was released within 3 hours. The ER doctor said it was after effects from anesthesia and should subside after a couple weeks...The anxiety persisted for about a week but it was mild and was managed by taking ibuprofen or tylenol. Day 3, I was still tired, groggy, and loss of appetite but my hubby made sure I at least ate a little soup and drank yokult! I also ate a Kiwi fruit and drank tea every day! Day 4, felt a little better and was able to eat at least 1 full meal! Slept a lot. Day 5, a little bit more energy and was able to eat very tiny meals. Day 6, slight anxiety but able to move around and go for walks every 45 minutes! Day 7, felt so good, I over did my activity and ended up with leg cramps. Increased my water intake and used a heating pad to relieve the leg cramps! Day 8-now, feeling better each day, more energy, moving around great, no pain whatsoever! Excited to see my doc for 2 week post-op so he can release me and I can drive again! Helpful hints that might help someone else: 1. Drink a probiotic every day 2. Drink a lot of water 3. Get up and walk every hour 4. Meditate 5. Drink a greens protein (I felt this really helped my digestion...) 6. Relax and watch your favorite sit-coms!

I am 72 going through my 1st major surgery I have endometriosis, and after 2 d and Cs, my lining kept getting thick. I had monthly periods, up until I was sixty nine years old. The periods went down to maybe two a year. I'm wondering, should I still just keep getting D&Cs. I have never had night sweat. Will this change my quality of life. I am in no pain at all.

Not sure if I’m just getting used to things shifting or if I actually hurt. 🙃 But I will say this, if you’re getting ready for such a procedure, invest in a good binder. It helps so much!!

Hi I am post hysterectomy 3 weeks had an emergency partial just removal of uterus and tube's. And about 1.5 weeks ago started waking up to legs and lower abdomen spasms. Not sure if that's correct word but basically it's like body stretching out getting stiff with the slightest movement from sleep rest position.i have no control over this. Not painful but uncomfortable. Now at 3 weeks I have that but also my entire abdomen from rib cage down. Is this normal? Why is this happening.
