Index funds would have been fantastic over the last 6 years. Most investors “pros” don’t outperform the S&P 500.

I wonder how many times Dave has had funds "underperform" and switched out of them. And I bet he doesn't count those when calculating his "12% per year." The beauty of index funds is they cannot underperform.

Of course not. He also never mentions these magical mutual funds that always over perform because people could call out his BS to prove he’s wrong & he would lose serious referral fees because the Ramsey NPCs would just pour all their money into these mutual funds & not use his SmartVestor Pros.

How does an advisor who does things poorly be able to teach someone. if I’m hearing correctly, you’re saying that we’re supposed to have our advisor teaches about investments and then we choose and change accordingly. So then, how do you know when you have an advisor that cannot teach or invest very well either. you’re putting all the on someone who’s known nothing about investments - as I see it someone who invest poorly can’t teach the person who has the money how to invest. The question I deemed more important is how do you know you have a good investor to learn from if you know nothing ?
