Turbo vado sl 4.0 is a great gravel bike, same frame, motor battery etc... but much cheaper at 3300 and it comes with 38c pathfinders standard. Goes 28mph no problem!

How is it riding in turbo? Pretty easy to sit at the 28mph limit? Rode my levo to work this morning so just wondering how similar it would be. Fairly easy to sit at the 20mph limit on the levo in turbo mode. Which is perfect for riding to work.

Sorry! Missed this. You're definitely working a bit harder to get up to 28, but really no harder than you would be on any other Class 3 bike that I've ridden. I think the lightweight nature makes up for the slightly less powerful motor. That and the 48v battery

How does it feel on the road with those gravel tires?
@SwiftySanders4 жыл бұрын
RNateS I prefer the gravel 38 tires I have with this. Less flat tires. Also it can go in more places. The shifting is light years better than my Allez. However I still wish shifting was more consistently smooth. Who knows, I could be doing something wrong. I also wish I could connect to the bike system with my garmin or any screen so I dont need to use my phone. Overall Very very happy with this bike. My favorite purchase in a few years tbqh.

Does it have the ability to run mud guards and a rear rack? I’m thinking this would make a good choice for bike backing or light touring especially with the range extender.
@FlyRidesUSA4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no rear rack. I'd go with Ortlieb seatpost and handlebar bags. Still could definitely be used for bikepacking. I'm thinking about one for that exact purpose!

Great review. Are the disk brakes hydraulic or mech? What are the braking and drivetrain components? Width of handle bars? Can I mount panniers? Fenders? Can I shut off power to conserve battery life when riding? I’m thinking century ride or longer. Is it pedal assist only? Thanks for the help
@lazurm3 жыл бұрын
Reid Wagner: Brakes are hydraulic. Width of handlebars change with the size of the bicycle. Can't mount panniers. Can mount fenders. You don't have to shut off power to conserve the battery as it has a zero assist mode which allows you to obtain the data on your gps unit while not using significant power. It's pedal assist only, no throttle. I forgot what the braking and drivetrain components are but they're easy to look up.

Hi, great review. I have a question, my wife had recently done her chemo. She used to ride but now, she has not much energy to go for even a simple short climbs. I am looking for a eBike that can get her to have the assistance to ride and when she is tired, the ebike can take over. I am trying to give her that opportunity to be on the saddle again. Can this bike do that task? I have no experience on ebikes and what the differences are. Appreciate your thoughts.
@FlyRidesUSA4 жыл бұрын
I’d say that this bike definitely ticks a lot of those boxes. Lightweight and easy to pedal when you’re not using the motor, but very powerful when you do need some assistance. All the best to you and your wife!
@lazurm3 жыл бұрын
Azwat Bakty: The Creo SL is totally an assist item and won't "take over" without pedaling. There's no throttle. As such, this is not the item for her.

It would be ideal to switch ti with the right side Di2 controls (no front derailed so these are by default unused) The levers can be set up to send blue tooth signals with bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/duraace-r9150-di2/EW-WU111.html Can the Specialized app/computer respond to bluetooth requests to shift power modes?
@lazurm3 жыл бұрын
MikeSL1: I have the assistance control on my handlebars, the right side moves the assistance up, the left side does so down. It's a $60 after market add-on that integrates seamlessly under the handlebar tape. It's totally great.

I agree to spend between 1000 to 3000 $ for a bike but more than that I feel that somehow abow that it"s not a fair price. You can easily find pretty good cars and motorbikes for 6000 $.

Simon: I think you miss the point of using a bicycle or an e-bike. With your compared car or motorbike, you can't ride with your in shape bicycling pals. You can't do a bicycle path off road, or on. You can't get exercise and they are typically a lot noisier. As to whether it's a fair price. The way they're selling combined with the fact that price is often related to demand, well, the facts are contrary to your opinion which may be valid for you but not for the wider reality. Know that this kind of technology will eventually trickle down to a price that appeals to a wider market, so,.. patience my friend.
@EternalInfusion3 жыл бұрын
@@lazurm With all my respect, you are describing how a bicycle can be used. It doesn't justify such a price. Technology? There is zero tech in those bicycles, electric motors on bicycles are really a 200 years old tech on a 250+ years old invention and it is even worse now, it cannot even run for more than what 60km? What justify the price then? Only aggressive marketing supported by youtubers paid by those brands to make you think that you can smile only if you are on this useless piece of carbon. It is not even cool, it makes you look like an old golfer, full of anger. If you are sleeping on cycling catalogs and dreaming about being the next Neil Armstrong i cannot do anything for you and this bike either. I am not your friend btw and it is not a question of being rich enough to be able to buy it? What do you think? people are criticizing the price because they cannot afford it? They are criticizing it because this brand is over-marketing useless product and stupid people buy it so the circus continues.
@lazurm3 жыл бұрын
@@EternalInfusion I see that you appear to be very opinionated. Sometimes the less experience one has ( in this case with the Creo) the more opinion they have. It's worth what the market is willing to spend, whether you can or can't. And, there's a lot of people raving about this item, even if you won't.

@@lazurm Seems like a total shill review. $6500 for an entry bike? Specialized make great bikes and if I could afford one I might not have bought mine used. Not everyone can afford that price. Ridiculous and just astro-turfing for sponsors.
@lazurm3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelrowave You sound bitter totally because you can't afford it, a fact that seems to color your interpretation of things. It's better to be more objective in determining its value. Think about what it means to purchase, say, a ring for a loved one. At least with the Creo SL you can get exercise and have fun for longer than the 4 days it takes to get over the joy of receiving a ring and it's often a lot cheaper! ;)

I have this exact bike. I am 72 and live with hills every way out. I am over the moon. I have absolutely no complaints. The more I ride it the more I like it. Generally level 2 including hills and head winds. You still have to work (pedal) and here in OZ my bike cuts out at 27.4 kph but it will easily pedal to 30kph without the weight starting to get in the way. Battery is long lasting about 100kms easy. Ask your dealer to throw in the extra battery and connectors for the list price.
