story 2: i just don’t understand how not one person is on the guy’s side. unless the sister is like the problem child that everyone enables and doesn’t reprimand
@OPSaidPodcast15 күн бұрын
Right?! Story 2 is mind boggling. He didn’t inherit the ring! The ring is HIS. It doesn’t have to be ‘in use’. The disrespect for him is HIGH. We couldn’t believe members of his family said they’d disown him if he didn’t let the matter go… 🤦♀️

I hate to say this because I loveeee this podcast (its replaced my other fav) but the talking over one another. I get it as I have ADHD and often my excitement and interrupting before losing the thought is regular for me. But hearing it back I want to hear each one of your thoughts before disagreeing. The stories you all stumble upon are always juicy! I watch at work and now enjoy watching to unwind soon as I get home 😂 keep em coming TY!
@OPSaidPodcast13 күн бұрын
Yay!! Glad to hear it’s your fav. 🫶🏾 We’ve filmed new content this year that’ll include less talking over each other. We get that it’s not so easy to understand us when we do this but this is actually how we naturally speak. In fact, it’s worst! 😂 We want the show to be greatly enjoyed by everyone so don’t worry, we won’t be doing anything that’ll disrupt the experience. 😊

The first story was disgusting but the FOURTH STORY??!!!!! Sorry I don’t need proof to remove my child from harm. What the hell?????
@ajasmith6438 күн бұрын
As much as I agree, and i totally agree, him being caught, puts him in jail, not able to fight for custody and on a registry. The thought of sacrificing my child for this proof is sickening but the thought of a custody battle with no proof and possibility of him having alone custody time makes me...homicidal. I guess I would have to just flee...smh!

Regarding the last question, separate bills are very much a thing in America. The waiter will typically if not always ask if everyone's paying together or separately.

My husband & I watched this together & he was like the husband needs to be quiet. I’ve been NC with my mom for almost 4 years. Got engaged,& married withOUT her purposefully & he’s NEVER intervened. He said whatever I experienced is valid & he wouldn’t try to make me uncomfortable.

For the first story: that made my stomach hurt. It was an ugly snapshot of what she could expect if she continued down that route, a sister who falls prey to a child predator and a family that brushes it off. 2nd story: that’s so insane that the family is trying to cut him off, when they STOLE the ring 😭 if the daughter is too young to handle having to give it back, then she’s two young to get married! 3rd story: dump that man, lol. 4th story: I hate hearing when people put pressure on their partner’s to reconnect with people who are harmful 🥴 Overall, I’m so glad I found your channel! I love your takes and story choices

In the case with the lesbian couple, he is NOT abandoning his child. The lesbian couple are agreeing to assume FULL responsibility. That is THEIR child,& him interjecting could be seen as disrespectful. Look at it as him being a sperm donor, would you date a man who’s donated sperm? That’s basically what they’re doing but they know the donor.
@OPSaidPodcast15 күн бұрын
I think they need to have a sit down conversation as they asked for his sperm donation but didn’t clarify further on any other expectations. If it’s merely just that donation then yes he would have no rights or responsibilities to the child.

I've watched your podcast which i found on TT and im here to stay. Love your energy & real discussions. Story 1: What an amazing big sis. Shame she doesn't recognise that her own circumstance was preditory behavior but hopefully, she will. Story 2: The widow sadly seems non confrontational, & his sister may be used to getting what she wants. Hence, she stole the ring tongift to her daughter. I'd throw the family/friends that side with a teeth! Keep up the great work, ladies, in a great show👌🏿

Separate bills are absolutely a thing in the US! I've lived here my entire life (50 years) and the only time I've ever gone to meals with multiple people and only one bill is when my dad is treating us to dinner. When I go out to eat, the server ALWAYS asks if we want one bill or separate, and always get separate bills. People who insist on splitting one bill are looking for free food. It's not the standard.

Loving these episodes and hearing your different points of view! Always looking forward to new uploads! Also, just a suggestion, for stories such as the one regarding child SA, or relating to sensitive topics such as child loss, maybe prefacing with a little mention at the top of the story so anyone who may not want to hear about such topics but still enjoy the episode can just skip over it. Happy new year, can’t wait to see this channel grow in 2025 ❤

The whole men legit ending a marriage and ditching their kids as if they dont exist and moving onnis soo prevalent in the pakistani community most men like thid are narcissists that dont actually love the kids. They wont provide etc move on remarry have more kids. Its sick i know soo many its happening alot in the last 15 years
@OPSaidPodcast14 күн бұрын
That’s so sad! We read a US stat recently that claimed that 1 in 3 men don't see their kids after the relationship ends... It’s so crazy that this is even a thing! 😣
@Sadidesifamily14 күн бұрын
@OPSaidPodcast yeah I'm in the uk and the desi men here are the same most men who divorce don't see their kids there's zero contact and provision. Now back in Pakistan it is rising. But very prevalent in desi men here be they British pakistani or men from Pakistan who have moved here...soo many single mums and kids with daddy issues...

I love it! I also really love Marie’s honesty, vulnerability and maturity when addressing certain familial topics. It’s so real to recognize and communicate the ways you and your partner’s childhoods differ and how that impacts you in adulthood and I’m glad she’s with someone that can accept her truth / not shame her, vice versa. Wishing you ladies the best week!

Is Marie agreeing with gap relationships………..
@OPSaidPodcast14 күн бұрын
No! None of us agree with the age gap of the first story. In fact, we’re extremely concerned; he’s a predator and his friend that he spoke to likely is too. Marie is just stating that didn’t cultures see age gap relationships differently to the western world.
@AndreeMarie14 күн бұрын
Hey hun, you have left quite a few comments here and I’m starting to wonder, do you actually listen and hear what is being said? Let me be clear, I think gap relationships are horrible when young people are involved like OP. I am also stating that OP is in an environment where people clearly find it NORMAL that she is with an older man to the point that they are pushing her back into a relationship with a man who is clearly a predator. We also discussed why it may be that it’s accepted that he is older and she is so young. We suspect he is good looking and older but also may have money. Hope that clarifies it ❤
