Swaggy its important to teach you children your language, i have seen so many people here in the US that regret not teaching their children their native language when they were younger. Once your children are fluent in the language then you start with the alphabet and they will get it really fast because they are still young.
@sharonmcfarlane12892 жыл бұрын
That's right Swaggy. Russia is a part of their culture and heritage so teach them as much of it as possible to round them out. I'm Jamaican but I have lived in America since 1969. My children were born in America but I infuse my Jamaican culture in them. Their Dad is Nigerian but he passed away but his family in Nigeria stays in contact with us so they do know some of their Nigerian culture.
@theaffiyaeffect2 жыл бұрын
do they speak a Nigerian language?
@paulineforrester39632 жыл бұрын
Yes you must teach them your language. It's part of their heritage, you owe it to them and will regret it if you don't do it. Continue to speak to them in Russian. Research has shown that children with a good grounding in a mother tongue, find it easier to learn additional languages. If this is lacking, learning an additional language becomes more challenging for them. Don't worry about the possibility of confusion, kids are amazing at getting over these differences. Childhood is the best time for language acquisition. All the best, don't give up.👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
@raymundofantastico2 жыл бұрын
Learning a foreign language is indeed one of the most IMPRESSIVE skills that a human being can acquire. Languages help other languages and I got better in all the ones I speak fluently because I kept interacting with native speakers. Children, being able to visualize and see how you use words and gestures in context, will learn QUICKLY. "Когда вы находитесь на кухне, вы можете сказать: "Это шкаф, это ложка, это фрукты, это зеленый горошек". Чем чаще вы будете говорить "это", тем лучше они будут понимать и запоминать. 😄😉

Swaggy, bilingualism and biculturalism (or tri-) from birth or even childhood are real gifts that we as parents should pass on to our children! You should speak only Russian to them, naturally (not just the alphabet or grammar)...it is your mother tongue! Errol should speak Jamaican, his mother/father tongue, to them and they will learn English at school. Children brought up in this way often do start reading a bit later than others, but then they catch up and usually surpass their peers in the end. Whatever you do, please do not confuse or mix up your languages...keep them as clearly separated as you can. That includes Jamaican and English. The children will easily know how to distinguish between their languages and will easily recognise native speakers in the future. Please just speak to both of them in Russian so that they can speak it naturally too. But also, don't be frustrated if they don't always answer you in Russian. Just keep at it and they will learn! Good luck and enjoy the process!

Yes Swaggy, please do not give up with this. This is probably my first comment even tho I've been watching a lot of your videos since almost 2 yrs. I was a French major in college and languages are my passion. I also studied Spanish in college too and after a trip to Puerto Rico 10 yrs ago, I started listening to a Spanish language station La Mega here in NY. I can tell you that after a while, the brain resets and without any effort it starts to understand more without any notebooks or alphabet or anything. If you can get some Russian cartoons etc. on the internet, you can add that too, Leo will enjoy and Danny will learn more without even knowing it's happening. Keep it up Ms. Swaggy, you are doing a great job at the most important job in the world - being a mom! 👍

I think they are irreplaceable, most of the time the only hope in this century many of us have for answers. I did it and to anyone who says it's not real, I beg to differ because it matched me up with cousins that I know personally and it would be impossible for the company to know we know one another since we don't have the same last name and we live in a different state and a different country. Matter of fact, there are at least 2 matches that I've never met in person but I know their parent and aunt 🤷♀
