I got baptized when I was 16. The church leaders encouraged us to get baptized and I said yes and wanted to get baptized. I accepted Jesus christ but we took a baptism class that explained to us baptism is a good thing and it can bring us closer to God we also learned that they encourage believers to be baptized so I got baptized with some others from the church it was a wonderful experience

Baptism is not a sprinkling of water, it is immersion in water. It does not save you but it does identify you with Christ death burial and resurrection.
