That is awesome that you would like to be baptized. Here is a little information and biblical backing for what baptism is and what is does for us today. Baptism is a death and burial of the old you into a new and renewed you. Baptism isn't just an outward show of an inward change. Baptism is a replication of the death that Christ took for us. Romans 6 Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ 6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin- 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. Romans 6: 3 states we are baptized INTO Christ Jesus. Galations 3:27 also states the same thing. 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Baptism alone does not save you. Just as believing alone does not save you. Sure you can find several verses that state we are "saved by ..." For instance Ephesians 2:8-9 For by GRACE ARE YE SAVED through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. If you took that verse alone one could argue that we as people don't have to do anything at all. That we can live and do as we please because it's only God's grace that saves us. The fact is that there is nothing that we did to deserve Gods gracious gift of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. And only through God's grace do we have any kind hope of forgiveness or adoption. Acts 16:31 They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” If you took Acts 16:31 alone you could say that all you had to do is believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. Not just you but your whole house hold. And thats not the case at all. The bible says that the Devils believe in Jesus and we know that they aren't going to be saved. Many people teach that you are saved by faith alone and that's not found anywhere in the bible. There is one verse that uses the phrase faith alone but it doesn't back up the belief of faith alone. James 2:24 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and NOT BY FAITH ONLY! Saved By Confession Romans 10:9 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Again, here in Romans 10:9 if you took this verse alone you could say that all you have to do is confess that Jesus Christ and you will be saved. That would allow you to continue to live however you would like and do whatever you like even if it was contrary to God's will just as long as you confess Jesus Christ. That's just not the case. Saved by Baptism 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Here again is another stand alone verse that says you are saved by something. In this case it's baptism. The point I am trying to make is that you can't take one verse and have the complete picture. Much like a hand or a puzzle if you have a piece missing or a finger missing it doesn't leave you with a complete hand or puzzle. The process of becoming a Christian is displayed so beatifully with Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunech in Acts 8. Acts 8 27-38 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. The Ethiopian Eunech needed to be taught what he was reading. He had to HEAR Romans 10:14 King James Version (KJV) 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? He had to BELIEVE that Jesus Christ was the Son of God John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. He had to REPENT, although I believe the Ethiopian Eunech was a good man already because he went to Jerusalem to worship he did not believe that Jesus Christ was the one who died for his sins and he had to change that way of thinking and life style and convert to Christianity. Acts 17:30 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. He had to CONFESS that Jesus Christ was the Son of God Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Then he was BAPTIZED. What is really cool about the Ethiopian Eunechs account is that Phillip never mentioned baptism in the scriptures that we see. It simply states that he began preaching unto him Jesus. In that teaching baptism was so important that the Ethiopian Eunuch said here is water what is stopping me. That is amazing!!! Mark 16:15-16 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever BELIEVES AND IS BAPTIZED will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Also Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Even the Apostle Paul after he was Chosen to be Christ Chosen Vessel was commanded to be baptized and have his sins washed away. Acts 22:16-22 16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Baptism is absolutely essential for salvation. It is as necessary as belief and as repenting but also as continuing. Matthew 24:13 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. I pray that you study this out and make the decision to repent and baptized having your sins washed away. Then continuing to live as consistent and Godly as humanly possible.

@@sianthomas8692 Hello my friend. Once you are baptized you do not become a member of your church. Once we are scripturally baptized we become a member of the Lord's Church. Christ's Church. Galations 3:27, Mathew 16:18, Romans 16:16... I apologize if I am coming off in a negative manner that is definitely not my intention. And I don't really think you meant Your church as in a church belonging to man. But we are not baptized to become a member of whatever local congregation that we are a part of. For example we are not baptized into the Baptist Church or we are not baptized into the 1st Lutheran Episcopalian Assembly of God. Christ actually Purchased a Church with his own blood and he has given us a manual to let us know all things that pertain to life and Godliness. That manual is the Holy Scriptures. The letters written to Romans ,Ephisians, Galations, Corinthians...... These books are letters written to Christians to let them know how God would like for his church to worship him and how we should act and to be. I pray this isn't coming across wrong but is coming across as sharing in a loving manner.

Nellie so excited that you are ready to be baptized!! Here is my testimony: Michele Allen’s Testimony: I was born and raised in New Holstein, WI in a very good home. But deep inside of me there was an aching and hunger for more of God. When I was 17 I was shown in the Bible that “Ye must be born again”. I was told to say a “sinners prayer” I sincerely repented and cried rivers of heartfelt genuine tears. I was told I was “born again” But after a while I experienced feelings of the frustration and guilt of not being able to live for God.I could not seem to grow in God like the Bible talked about and continued to revert back to a sinful lifestyle. I felt utterly defeated Bc I could not stay faithful to God, His Word or His commandments. 3 years later I walked into an Apostolic Church in Appleton/Menasha WI and the truth of salvation was revealed: The Gospel is the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ: (I Corinthians 15: 1-4). I learned to rightly divide the word of truth: The 4 Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John witness Jesus’ earthly ministry: He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons and did miracles. In John 3, Nicodemus came to Jesus. They talked ABOUT being born again (JOHN 3:3-5 Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven) but no one was ACTUALLY born again in the 4 gospels. Before Calvary they were still under the law but after Calvary they are under grace (Church Age) so it was not possible to be born again bc Jesus had not yet been glorified (John 7:37-39). This is why the thief on the cross was able to be in paradise...he was still under the dispensation of the law. It isn’t until the day of Pentecost, in Acts you witness people actually BEING born of the water by being baptized by immersion ONLY in the name of Jesus and BEING filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. To find out HOW to be born again, go to the Book of Acts: Acts2:1-4,2:38,3:19,8:12-18,8:35-39,10:43-4816:30-34,18:8,19:2-6 John 3:8 Speaks of how you cannot SEE the wind but you know that it is moving because you SEE the branches move and you HEAR the wind through the leaves. And so is every man that is born of the Spirit. You cannot SEE the Spirit of God (John 4:24) but when it enters a man you (Acts 2:33, 4:20): SEE tongue move and you can HEAR the words of them speaking as the Spirit gives the utterance. - [ ] Whenever God gave a promise he always gave the SIGN to that promise. In the OT he made a covenant/promise with Noah: He would never flood the earth with water again and the SIGN to that promise was the rainbow. Then God made a covenant/promise to Abraham that he would be the father of many nations and the SIGN of that promise was circumcision. In the NT God promises us the Holy Ghost and the SIGN to that promise is tongues. James 3 says the tongue is the most unruly member of the body. So when God has control of our tongue we have submitted our entire being. - [ ] God is a Consuming Fire...Deuteronomy 4:24,9:3,9:12 Hebrews 12:29 - [ ] Matt 3:11-12, Luke 3:16-18, Acts 2:5...He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with Fire. Acts 2:3...Tongues like as of Fire. Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:2-6...Holy Ghost & Tongues. Acts 15:7-9, Acts 10:45-46...Holy Ghost, Fire Purifies, Gentiles Spoke in Tongues. - [ ] Matthew 13:42,18:8, Mark 9:47-48, Rev 20:10, 10:14-15, 21:8...Lake of Fire - [ ] CONTROLLED BURNS - When a trench is dug around an unquenchable fire to consume the fuel source. FIREFIGHTERS do this to FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE. Only way we can fight the fires of hell is to be filled with the CONSUMING FIRE HIMSELF...The Spirit of a Holy God. The Epistles: Romans - Jude are written to the churches that experienced the Acts 2:38 salvation. If you haven’t, these letters are not yet for you bc you cannot be expected to live a holy life without a holy God living inside you. If you want to find out HOW to be born again you do not go to the Epistles, only to Acts. In Acts and Epistles it does say to: “Believe on the Lord” and you will be saved. Believe what? What have the disciples been preaching this whole time? The Gospel. What is the Gospel? I Corin 15:1-4 1. Death, 2. Burial 3. Resurrection. (II Thessalonians 1:8) How do we OBEY (action word) the Gospel? 1. Repent (death to self), 2. Batism in Jesus name (Burial) 3. Holy Ghost (Resurrection) with the evidence of speaking in tongues in Acts 2:38-39 and John 3:3-8. The 1. Death, 2. Burial 3. Resurrection-1. Repentance, 2. Baptism 3. Holy Ghost theme is thread throughout the entire Bible: In Exodus when the children of Israel were in Egyptian bondage God told Moses to tell them to put the blood on the door post of the HOUSE 🏡 THREE (3) times and then the death Angel would pass over them and the firstborn in their house would not (physically) die. It’s the same for us: When we 1. Repent 2. Are Baptized 3. Get Holy Ghost. The blood🩸of Jesus is applied to us each time (if we OBEY we will not die spiritually) bc in Ephesians 2:22, I Corinthians 3:16 and Romans 8:9-11 it says that we are the HOUSE 🏠 of God. In Leviticus when the Priest went into the TABERNACLE/TEMPLE to perform the ritual for the children of Israel to have their sins rolled ahead one year up till Calvary. The PRIEST applied blood on his body 3 times and he also applied blood on the 3 pieces of the furniture in the TEMPLE. The Bible says in first Peter 2:5-9 that we are royal PRIESThood . (I Corinthians 6:19) The Bible also says that our bodies are TEMPLES of the Holy Ghost. So it is the same for us: when we 1. Repent 2. Are baptized 3. Get Holy Ghost. The blood of Jesus is applied to us. Obedience or to obey is an action word. We can “believe” the light will turn on but unless we turn light switch on the light won’t go on. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 15: 7-11) We are saved by grace and faith. We are so often accused of works for salvation. When we are commanded to be baptized (Matt 28:19, Acts 8:48,10:45) we are simply being obedient to the Gospel (2Thes1:8,Romans10:16,Acts6:7,Gal5:7) by having the faith to know that the gospel saves us. I was almost 20 years old when I went down into the waters of baptism in Jesus name for the remission of my sin. When I came up out of the water I could hardly breathe bc Gods presence was so intense and the unbearable weight I felt lifted off me was immense! (At this moment, in a natural birth, the water, blood and baby is there but until the you HEAR the baby CRY after taking in its first BREATH it could be still born. So you wait for the CRY to know baby is alive-So is everyone that it’s born of the Spirit). I began to speak in other tongues and could not speak English! It was the most amazing, most powerful, most enlightening and cleansing experience ever. It wasn’t till THAT MOMENT I was truly born of water and of the Spirit. Thus, BORN AGAIN! I was finally filled with the power to help me live a victorious life. Romans 13:14, Galatians 3:27-When you are baptized you are “covered” you have “put on” Christ (Gen 3:21-God “clothed” or “put on” the coats of skins of a bloody animal to “cover” the sin of Adam and Eve), (Romans 6:4) you are buried with Him in baptism, (Acts 2:33, 3:19) you have your sin remitted, (Acts 4:12) you take on His name and become the Bride of Christ in baptism. The only way anyone was ever baptized was in the name of Jesus! Matthew 28:18-19. Jesus said: ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH. (SO ALL POWER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH MUST BE IN THE NAME OF JESUS!) John 5:43-The name of the Father is Jesus, Matthew 1:21-The name of the Son is Jesus, John 14:26-The name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus. Jesus was crucified for WHO HE WAS not for what he did. When we truly understand WHO Jesus is we will understand the importance of being baptized in Jesus name. Romans 8:9-16 You are then adopted and become the sons and daughters of God. The Holy Ghost is just a portion of our inheritance. If we do not have His Spirit dwelling in us we are none of His. Those years between the ages of 17-20 I was living on a repentance experience...leaving Jesus hanging there on the cross, so to speak. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:14-41, Acts 8:37-38, Acts 10:47-48) tells me I was not obeying the command to be buried with him in the waters of baptism and I had not received the Holy Ghost so thus was not resurrected to walk in newness of life. Therefore, could not live a victorious Christian life. We can go out into the highways and by ways to share our testimony and compel the lost to come in to the church, cell groups, house meetings. The new converts need a place to fellowship with saints of like precious faith and to grow in Christ. They need a place of refuge Bc when they get saved the enemy is going to attack hard. They need a Pastor, who not only shepherds and gently guides their souls but is accountable to preach the truth as well. As soon we receive the Holy Ghost we can pray for whoever, whenever and wherever the Spirit leads us: For them to be healed, delivered or pray through to the Holy Ghost. If there is water, what does hinder them to be baptized? YOU can baptize them in Jesus name. Just be sure they have repented and it’s understood what takes place in baptism. I have witnessed healings, participated in baptisms and helped pray many thru to Holy Ghost in my Church as well as a few on the streets and in my living room. I am not in a religion but in a relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for this. I want to get baptized this fall with my newborn daughter who is my first child. I grew up in church but didn’t really meet the true living God until I turned 18. I’ve been waking with him ever since, but things hasn’t been easy. @mariposita 🦋 babies are born innocent and pure, they have no sin… babies are pure because when you yell at them… and they start to cry and you call them while their crying they come to you and hug. Babies do not hold any grudges against you, nor do they have the desire to sin. They are playful and play how they taught. Getting baptized means to leave your old self in the water and to waken new and pure from your dirty self… like the person recording said, “Baptism won’t stop us sinning” it’s just something to replicate how Jesus died and resurrected from the dead. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

Amen Jalayah so amazing: Here is my testimony: Michele Allen’s Testimony: I was born and raised in New Holstein, WI in a very good home. But deep inside of me there was an aching and hunger for more of God. When I was 17 I was shown in the Bible that “Ye must be born again”. I was told to say a “sinners prayer” I sincerely repented and cried rivers of heartfelt genuine tears. I was told I was “born again” But after a while I experienced feelings of the frustration and guilt of not being able to live for God.I could not seem to grow in God like the Bible talked about and continued to revert back to a sinful lifestyle. I felt utterly defeated Bc I could not stay faithful to God, His Word or His commandments. 3 years later I walked into an Apostolic Church in Appleton/Menasha WI and the truth of salvation was revealed: The Gospel is the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ: (I Corinthians 15: 1-4). I learned to rightly divide the word of truth: The 4 Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John witness Jesus’ earthly ministry: He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons and did miracles. In John 3, Nicodemus came to Jesus. They talked ABOUT being born again (JOHN 3:3-5 Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven) but no one was ACTUALLY born again in the 4 gospels. Before Calvary they were still under the law but after Calvary they are under grace (Church Age) so it was not possible to be born again bc Jesus had not yet been glorified (John 7:37-39). This is why the thief on the cross was able to be in paradise...he was still under the dispensation of the law. It isn’t until the day of Pentecost, in Acts you witness people actually BEING born of the water by being baptized by immersion ONLY in the name of Jesus and BEING filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. To find out HOW to be born again, go to the Book of Acts: Acts2:1-4,2:38,3:19,8:12-18,8:35-39,10:43-4816:30-34,18:8,19:2-6 John 3:8 Speaks of how you cannot SEE the wind but you know that it is moving because you SEE the branches move and you HEAR the wind through the leaves. And so is every man that is born of the Spirit. So when God has control of our tongue we have submitted our entire being. - [ ] God is a Consuming Fire...Deuteronomy 4:24,9:3,9:12 Hebrews 12:29 - [ ] Matt 3:11-12, Luke 3:16-18, Acts 2:5...He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with Fire. Holy Ghost theme is thread throughout the entire Bible: In Exodus when the children of Israel were in Egyptian bondage God told Moses to tell them to put the blood on the door post of the HOUSE 🏡 THREE (3) times and then the death Angel would pass over them and the firstborn in their house would not (physically) die. It’s the same for us: When we 1. Repent 2. Are Baptized 3. Get Holy Ghost. The blood🩸of Jesus is applied to us each time (if we OBEY we will not die spiritually) bc in Ephesians 2:22, I Corinthians 3:16 and Romans 8:9-11 it says that we are the HOUSE 🏠 of God. In Leviticus when the Priest went into the TABERNACLE/TEMPLE to perform the ritual for the children of Israel to have their sins rolled ahead one year up till Calvary. The PRIEST applied blood on his body 3 times and he also applied blood on the 3 pieces of the furniture in the TEMPLE. The Bible says in first Peter 2:5-9 that we are royal PRIESThood . (I Corinthians 6:19) The Bible also says that our bodies are TEMPLES of the Holy Ghost. So it is the same for us: when we 1. Repent 2. Are baptized 3. Get Holy Ghost. The blood of Jesus is applied to us. Obedience or to obey is an action word. We can “believe” the light will turn on but unless we turn light switch on the light won’t go on. When we are commanded to be baptized (Matt 28:19, Acts 8:48,10:45) we are simply being obedient to the Gospel (2Thes1:8,Romans10:16,Acts6:7,Gal5:7) by having the faith to know that the gospel saves us. I was almost 20 years old when I went down into the waters of baptism in Jesus name for the remission of my sin. When I came up out of the water I could hardly breathe bc Gods presence was so intense and the unbearable weight I felt lifted off me was immense! (At this moment, in a natural birth, the water, blood and baby is there but until the you HEAR the baby CRY after taking in its first BREATH it could be still born. So you wait for the CRY to know baby is alive-So is everyone that it’s born of the Spirit). I began to speak in other tongues and could not speak English! It was the most amazing, most powerful, most enlightening and cleansing experience ever. It wasn’t till THAT MOMENT I was truly born of water and of the Spirit. Thus, BORN AGAIN! I was finally filled with the power to help me live a victorious life. Romans 13:14, Galatians 3:27-When you are baptized you are “covered” you have “put on” Christ (Gen 3:21-God “clothed” or “put on” the coats of skins of a bloody animal to “cover” the sin of Adam and Eve), (Romans 6:4) you are buried with Him in baptism, (Acts 2:33, 3:19) you have your sin remitted, (Acts 4:12) you take on His name and become the Bride of Christ in baptism. The only way anyone was ever baptized was in the name of Jesus! Matthew 28:18-19. Jesus said: ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH. (SO ALL POWER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH MUST BE IN THE NAME OF JESUS!) John 5:43-The name of the Father is Jesus, Matthew 1:21-The name of the Son is Jesus, John 14:26-The name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus. Jesus was crucified for WHO HE WAS not for what he did. When we truly understand WHO Jesus is we will understand the importance of being baptized in Jesus name. Romans 8:9-16 You are then adopted and become the sons and daughters of God. The Holy Ghost is just a portion of our inheritance. If we do not have His Spirit dwelling in us we are none of His. Those years between the ages of 17-20 I was living on a repentance experience...leaving Jesus hanging there on the cross, so to speak. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:14-41, Acts 8:37-38, Acts 10:47-48) tells me I was not obeying the command to be buried with him in the waters of baptism and I had not received the Holy Ghost so thus was not resurrected to walk in newness of life. Therefore, could not live a victorious Christian life. We can go out into the highways and by ways to share our testimony and compel the lost to come in to the church, cell groups, house meetings. The new converts need a place to fellowship with saints of like precious faith and to grow in Christ. They need a place of refuge Bc when they get saved the enemy is going to attack hard. They need a Pastor, who not only shepherds and gently guides their souls but is accountable to preach the truth as well. As soon we receive the Holy Ghost we can pray for whoever, whenever and wherever the Spirit leads us: For them to be healed, delivered or pray through to the Holy Ghost. If there is water, what does hinder them to be baptized? YOU can baptize them in Jesus name. Just be sure they have repented and it’s understood what takes place in baptism. I have witnessed healings, participated in baptisms and helped pray many thru to Holy Ghost in my Church as well as a few on the streets and in my living room. I am not in a religion but in a relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Really good and simple. It's good for people to know why they are doing it and you explain it well. These videos that take an hour to explain baptism are hard going. I don't think anyone of Jesus' time had to go through and hours session or a course to even be classed as worthy enough to be baptized. It drives me nuts when people have to wait to be baptized, when the Holy Spirit has guided them there for a pastor to delay the event. It makes no sense to me. May be I am wrong.

I’m 16 and considering to get baptized because God has been evident in my life and if I follow Jesus I wanna go all the way but I’ve had all sorts of people tell me I need the gift of tongues or to be 18 but I believe I am ready and I don’t care what others think it is my choice and if I felt like God put it on my heart to do so I will do it and can nobody convince me otherwise. Although I do wanna confirm that I am rightfully desiring it and am checking in with myself and where I stand for you can never be too sure. My first baptism class is coming up, wish me luck!

Water Baptism doesn't save you but must be done after true repentance, it must be done according to Mark16:16. God bless you

Mark 16:16 says those who believe and are baptized will be saved, not those who believe and are saved will be baptized. That puts being saved after both believing and being baptized. If it must be done according to Mark 16:16, then this is the way it is done. After repenting as well of course Acts 2:38-39. This is the way it was done in the first century.

If you believe in false doctrines...( your faith must be put to the test) and if you sin breaking his Commandments in the OT or NT. PLEASE RECONSIDER BAPTISM. Then you are walking in the kingdom of darkness. You are not freed yet. Deliverance ( learn the truth) must take in order to be free from the demonic attachments in your life. Satan has authority over your life. You are bound to suffer, be confused, depressed, feel rejected, your life doesn't make sense, you feel doubtful , be in a hateful environment, encounter false friends, keep you in poverty or enslaved to money, and hopeless. In order to be free from his power, you must pursue the truth that is not found in Christianity but in the Scriptures. Just read it for yourself and allow the Holy Spirit touch your heart to repentance and guide you into the truth that you will experience it as a something strange and extraordinary. Your destiny will change to a higher calling and optimal joy from the Lord. You will have a true peace in your heart and around your life.

You don’t have to be completely perfect to be ready for baptism, that’s not even possible. Even after you get baptized, temptation will still be there and you’ll still eventually sins again , the important thing is that you keep repenting and pursuing your relationship with God

A few things to know about Baptism: 1. Baptism is the first ordiance of the gospel. 2. To be baptized, one makes a covenant to follow Jesus Christ. 3. A covenant is a two-way promise: We covenant to follow God and keep is commandments. He promises that His spirit (The Holy Ghost) may be with us. 4. Baptism enables you to return and live with God after this life. 5. Although perfect, Jesus was baptized to be an example and demonstrate that he would keep God (our Heavenly Father's) commandments. 6. Baptism must be performed by immursion. 7. Baptism should be performed when one is old enough to be accountable to make a covenant with God. Babies and little children are not old enough. 8. Baptism by immursion is symbolic of the death and resurrection of the Savior. Being buried in the water is symbolic of death. Coming out of the water is symbolic of being resurrected or "living again." 9. Baptism is the first step on the road to discipleship. It is only the start. There are more ordinances one must receive--along with their associted covenants. 10. Baptism must be performed by someone who has God's authority to be valid after this life though. A pastor doesn't get that authority by merely by studying the Bible. The true, RESTORED church of Jesus Christ is on the earth today. It is HIS church. It has HIS authority to do baptisms. It has HIS authority to do baptisms because HE restored it. HIS church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I hope you'll have the desire to continue on your path to follow the Savior by becoming a member of HIS restored church.

Thank you for the information. I left Islam and am thinking of becoming Catholic. But Islam has destroyed me so much I have social anxiety And am afraid to just walk up to a priest and say make me christian. Nobody decipled me, i basically know all I know about christianity through the internet. I am alone. My family rejected me for leaving islam and I don't have friends. A priest can’t ‘make you a Christian’, that comes from a personal relationship between you and God. I’d start with reading the Bible, asking Jesus to help and teach you, and start looking for churches around you. The best thing you can do is ask for His guidance and for Him to provide people to help you. Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism So, two parties; one believe baptism is important, the other believes it's not. Who's wrong? There's only one faith. It's not "two faiths". Every single one of you needs to look look at all the scripture and carefully read the passages that mention baptism. Because come the time of the gathering, many will be left behind and wondering why they didn't get taken up.

Better questions for one to ask him or herself are 1. Have I studied the Bible and looked up the scriptures that state the purpose(s) for baptism in water in Jesus's name, which began after His resurrection? 2. Have I studied the Bible and looked up the scriptures that state what I need in order to be ready for this baptism? 3. Am I willing to follow what the written Bible teaches on these matters? What the presenter presents here about baptism in water in Jesus's name does not play out in the scriptures. No one in the scriptures prescribes this baptism as an open declaration or as an act of obedience for the already saved. And no one in the scriptures writes about people having been baptized for such reasons. No one in the New Testament, according to their own writings, would be familiar with this video's ideas about baptism.

@@reihannahherring8605 Yeah I'm okay now. When I'm ready I'll go and serve the lord but I came to acceptance that it wasn't out of my heart and moved on. I lived my life as I would before any of this happened. I came to learn baptism didn't really mean anything because you would have to be saved you know? And I never said a prayer before and the baptism wasn't done correctly and I claim it as invalid.

@@1uvnii, are these things you're learning or being taught in the Bible? There is no scripture that says one needs to be saved to be baptized. Mark 16:16 says whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, not whoever believes and is saved will be baptized. The passage puts being saved after both belief and being baptized. No scripture after Jesus's resurrection teaches one to be saved via a prayer. The tax collector never mentioned Jesus (it wasn't an I accept Jesus prayer), and there is no example after Jesus resurrected of someone being taught to pray unto salvation. This is a method of modern men, not the Bible. If you wish to be baptized according to God's will and teaching, I encourage you to look up all scriptures that refer to baptism in water in Jesus's name, which is after Jesus's resurrection. Read what is expected beforehand and the stated purpose for this baptism in each of these scriptures. Then you can begin to look for places who will baptize you according to written scripture, not just someone's opinion. If you wish to ask me anything as well, I'm here for you.
