The fact that the Stage has two stereo fx loops is fantastic. There are certain pedals some of us love, and the fact you can combine those within the rigs with such ease is a huge win.

The Toaster easily switch from desk to stage and vice versa, sell it to avoid connecting a network cable? to get an extra send return and a difference of about 6.5 pounds? and then bring the same 6.5 pounds of stompboxes with me? For me it doesn't make sense, also because the Kemper never made me feel the need to have external pedals
@guidocapiotto19375 жыл бұрын
I bought the Kemper also to eliminate the external stomps, to me a loop is enough and when I come back from the gigs the toaster takes up less space on the desk ... I don't think that the time to connect 1 network cable will make me delay the performance...so should I sell my Kemper and buy a Profiler Stage? For me the answer is: Naaahh...
@noelhoekstra68525 жыл бұрын

I sold my kemper rack and have purchased a stage. Im now going to be able to fit my handful of pedals and the entire kemper on the same pedalboard. Crazy! No more complicated cable situations with effects loops and midi. I can keep everything wired up and only use one cable in and one xlr out to the front of house. All I have to haul in now is my pedalboard case and a gig bag on my back. Way stoked!

Does it still work as an inear-station? The kemper head allows you to use the Aux-input to mix your internal guitar-signal with the monitor-signal from the FOH-Mixer and feed it into your personal monitor separately. This is one of the greatest Features in the kemper (in my opinion), I use it all the time.

Marco Celestino then it’s not for you. And that’s fine. But some people would prefer to have one item to carry as opposed to dealing with the hassle of carrying and setting up a Profiler, a floor remote, the cables necessary to use it, and the space needed in rehearsal/bedrooms/on stage... This thing is a godsend for me, personally. I’m so stoked I was already saving for the new Fractal floor model, and that Fractal likes to announce things and then wait a year or more to give any tiny update or tentative release approximation (whereas kemper announced it on a Friday and released it the next Tuesday, and still isn’t “sold out” as Fractal will almost certainly be, once again proving that it pays to be a scalper scumbag when companies can’t figure out how to supply a demand they created... Not to hate on fractal’s actual product, which I’m sure will be just mind blowingly amazing, as they all are. So I’ll probably purchase it as well, should I have the funds when my name is up on the waiting list.. but I am so glad Kemper is the type of brand to keep their heads down, let the other guys make big noise and announce a product they can’t even estimate a window of release for, and then come out swinging with a full-fledged announcement and a product to show the world, which the world can then purchase within a week... seriously that’s unheard of in ANY industry, much less hype-waiting for release type of industry like music gear and electronics and video games, etc.. It’s just unheard of, and that’s lot even mentioning the functionality and downright eargasmic sounds from this beast (and also the Fractal, like I said.) All it means is it’s an unbelievably fortunate time to be a guitarist with an unquenchable thirst for the newest shiniest piece of gear.. So many options, and for once they’re actually ALL good, save for one or two Hotone and Mooer budget models (which I’m sure are still miles ahead of what was available in 2009..)

Hi guys, old but super awesome video, I currently have a Helix LT and I bought a very cheap new Kemper Head white (without amp). I've had it on my desk for a week and tried countless hours. The bad thing is, there is a great sound right away. I don't play on stage. But I'm not sure if I should swap for the Kemper Stage. As always, 30 days. Since the Kemper was really cheap to get, the price difference if I buy a remote would only be 150 € more than the Stage. I think it's great to be able to simply turn the definition or gain and not always mess around on the floor, like with the Helix. Of course, the editor on the PC is always a shame. Would you stick with the Head + Remot with the small price difference? Can the remote operate everything from the stops in exactly the same way as the floor (only in terms of operability, of course) Maybe you still read that although the video is old Thank you greetengs from Germany

To me the Editor will be a very positive Game Changer, I will actually be able to see what Im doing on the "Big Screen" rather than stare at the little screen on the Toaster. I think the stage is really neat and cool, but at this point in my musical journey I feel that I will just stick to my Toaster. I think it's not a good choice for major stage touring. For one thing, it's REALLY not great stage routing for the XLR to come forward out of the unit, and, because every stage plot is going to want to route it around and back to the snake, it's going to put unwanted strain on those XLR connections. And second, I'd be worried about stage hands and security guys walking their dogs through and all the various unaware types who walk around on the stage after sound check banging into what amounts to a computer. Once one of those major knobs gets its shaft bent you're screwed.

HW...I have a question...I mentioned in another KPS video you posted that I just purchased a KPS and it’s my first Kemper. After playing with it for a day now I’m very impressed! However, my main rig consists of a FAS AX8 that’s used as my controller, effects processor and IR loader, for amp tones I use the following Kingsley preamp pedals...Maiden (Dumble) and a Constable (Plexi). I route both Kingsley’s preamps in the AX8s effects loop...between both preamp is the Kingsley Page DS for Boost and OD responsibilities, there’s also an H9 and a Greer Light Speed on my board as well. Having said all that and me being a newbie to Kemper and since you’ve much experience with both Kingsley pedals (I’ve seen your vids) and Kempers...are you personally convinced that a Kemper can in essence capture the authenticity of the pure analog sound of the Kingsley pedals or any true tube amp for that matter? Thanks!

I am thinking to switch to Kemper, I want to be able to play with headphones in the living room AND to plug to a cab and go play with friends. Good video. For me personally I prefer the toaster or rackmount. Losing some of the knobs makes it more of a pain to change some parameters, and I think I would get frustrated. Gonna be a while before I can afford it - have plenty of time to think about it. Maybe by then the price will go down. YEAH RIGHT!!!!

Nope. Very happy with my KPA powerhead on a laptop stand and my remote controller on the floor. One of the big pluses of the KPA is not having to bend over to tweak effects. Now you gotta bend over to tweak anything. I hate stuff on the floor. I think the Kemper Stage is going to be useful for some players in a live environment since it is one unit instead of two. It will only cut your setup time by a small amount and now your expensive unit is on the floor on stage. Not cool. If they had released the editor software the decision would be a bit easier. I am really surprised that they released the Stage with the editor software still pending.

I’d argue that if you are a pedal user then this is the right version. I should preface this by saying I am a gigging musician so portability, setup time, and extra gear I take into account. Now I don’t use a lot of pedals but there are a few that I use. Like a synthe pedal (Kemper doesn’t have options in this department) KOT (don’t need it but love it) wireless, and tuner (because I truly dislike the tuner on the kemper. Again I know I could get away with no pedals but it’s a comfort thing.) The pros for me here: The dual effects loop is killer because you can separate the two genres of pedals. Also you aren’t running a 20’, 1/4” cable tail to the back of the stage like you are with a toaster or rack. Which takes up space. Portability: By combining the brain to the controller you are knocking out equipment you need to bring to the gig. Plus, No 1/4” tail to bring. Setup: Im not going to say the toaster and rack mount are not a quick setup, because they are a quick setup, but the Stage is quicker. No tail to run. Everything is preconnected and at the front of the stage. Which is nice because there seems to be consistent traffic jams and limited space by the backline. Just a couple XLRs to the FOH and your golden. Currently I can be setup in roughly 15-20 minutes. With the stage probably less than 5.

I'd have to sell a kidney in order to buy a kemper stage. Can't sell the other one for a King of tone and that kind of pedals so I think I'd use this as my only one 😂.

I personally wouldn't play at a church that promotes the belief in an imaginary invisible being that demands worship, but that's just me. Any Kemper is okay as long as it's not in a church.

Piece of junk 😡I sold my Kemper toasted to buy the Kemper Stage but it was to hard programming delays and reverbs and sometimes it was to hard to turn it off and mine got froze in the middle of our concert! I returned it right away! I’m keeping my old Kemper toasted “never fail” the Kemper Stage has a different software that’s why has less memory too! Don’t buy it guys!
