Hot tub sanitizers are very confusing. At the heart of that confusion, though, is whether or not bromine or chlorine is best.

In truth, both bromine and chlorine have their pros and cons. I prefer bromine for my sanitizer as it holds up better in hot water than chlorine. It's a tad more expensive, but you'll have to add it less often, making the cost difference negligible.
Ass an added bonus, you also don't get as strong of a chlorine odor with bromine.
