I can deadlift and squat beltless without any pain, though I think the belt is “optimal” generally. On bench though, I find I can’t keep from cramping up my erectors on grindy reps, and the belt is a helpful cure to keep from arching in my low back.

All belts are essentially the same. The black and red Amazon one will work fine for 95% of the population. Its just as good as your overpriced one

@josheakins5137 dude i like their content but come on man they overprice their products like crazy. A starting strength gym membership is insane. I get it that that the coaches have to be paid but they are not reinventing the wheel come on man.
