Should Ivan Fedotov start over Aleksei Kolosov? | PHLY Flyers Podcast

Can't do any worse. It's safe to say Errson has not been sharp since his injury. Kolosov could be the future, so get him some 'seasoning' in AHL. Fedotov could give the team some much-needed boost of energy to motivate the offense, even more-so the defensemen. What do they have to lose, they're heading for a non-playoff tanking year anyway ?

Kolosov should be starting for the Phantoms for the rest of the year or he will never develop into a starter in the NHL

I think the kid has some visible goalie skill, needs to be matured as a goalie

I said this at the start of the season. Kolosov has raw talent but it is in his best interest to play in Lehigh and start there for at least one season. I know Fedotov hasn't played the best but if you are still in rebuilding mode then you need to let him play it out. He actually played solid before they made him the number 3. Fedotov has handled this very well and Kolosov still needs to develop some maturity. I still don't like how he pouted his way out of the Phantoms last offseason. With Zavragin and Bjarsson in the pipeline too, they have two elite goaltenders who will be great, especially once the team starts to contend. With all that being said, if Ersson is out an extended amount of time then Fedotov will likely get some reps again.

Feds was doing great before they sent him down. I thought he was a bit stronger than Koly but they kept Koly. Either way I like all 3 that we have and it’s more of a defensive problem than goalie problem.

Fedotov is still on the Flyers active roster and wasn't sent down to the Phantoms. They have been carrying three goalies at the moment and he might get another opportunity in net if Ersson is out again with an injury.

Fedatov deserved another chance Kolasov is not nhl ready His career will be ruined if he doesn't agree to be starter in ahl I felt fedatov was pulling it together because he was a great khl goalie His age shows maturity His deserves another look

Well Torts has closed the book on Fedotov, I would have Fedotov fighting for the #1 spot. Anyway Torts needs to be fired, this is the end of 3years and he has done nothing. Time to move on from him.

Only people who see what they want to see, actually like him. He's awful. None of what they say/do adds up and people act like the Emperors New Clothes are brilliant.

why did they throw Koly out against LA? Why not put the number one out against them?

Kolosov looks like he is lost. He is letting in far too many soft goals. He needs to be playing regularly and should be on the Phantoms!
