The only way I would trade Correa is if the Twins get a pitcher in return with a solid history of arm problems.

Any time I hear, "the Twins are in a win now" mindset, I laugh. No team that wants to win refuses to invest in their team when they have really good pieces in place. They're in a "how can we sell this team" mindset. They don't give a shit about winning the World Series.
@iwannatalktosampson5852Күн бұрын
If it's a real trade where you get actual pieces in return . If it's a salary dump you mind as well trade everyone who's making money why stop at Correa if your gonna give away your best player for pennies . Honestly should of just let him walk in free agency if you were never serious about winning and we're gonna just move on because the pohlads wanna cut payroll every year
@jasonkorf77002 күн бұрын
It's always depends on the return. However, we still have the Pohlads as owners and this feels more like a spite move by gutting the roster before they sell in the name of flexibility.
@benjames45022 күн бұрын
If you've been reading the "Twins Daily", management has been floating trading Correa, Buxton, Lopez, Ryan and Duran, basically salary dump.
@jasonkorf77002 күн бұрын
@benjames4502 Yep, if the rumors are true, they are gonna dismantle the roster before selling.

With respect, it would have been more shocking to me if Judd said he wasn't interested in trading Correa.
@bradgast3028Күн бұрын
I hope if Correa wants out he won't go public, because it'd be like putting a "FIRE SALE" sign out. Therefore we'd never get a decent offer, much like when they broadcasted we were cutting budget last season. They never got any feasible offers. Absolute terrible move
@rickmeisch643Күн бұрын
Trade Correa is good with me, if he’s so good a pair of darn good players should come of it! I doubt if he wants to play here with the owners being so miracle minded over how competitive the team is I think it’s even enough to mentally bring on his aches and pains.
@jamesroberts3189Күн бұрын
The Twins are such simps. Correa, who played only 86 games last year, has a progressively worse injury outlook, and makes $37,000,000 next year can have any leverage is beyond me!

Carlos Correa the player is really good. Carlos Correa's second contract after failing two physicals is atrocious.
@mullen252 күн бұрын
i like him as a player but what is his market anyway,. he makes a ton of money and has missed a lot of games since signing his contract. derek falvey hasn't had enough success to warrant being promoted to a team president. this organization is clueless. hopefully the team is sold soon.
@benjames45022 күн бұрын
Carlos Correa is a 4 plus war shortstop, he's worth top 25 prospect in the MLB pipeline, top 50 prospect in an organizational pipeline and a player to be named later.
@mikefingerbottom26692 күн бұрын
You guys are hilarious. The twins were the only team who wanted to pay correa that kind of money 2 years ago. He was UFA, and 29 of 30 teams passed. Since then he has only tanked his value by playing half the season due to a myriad of injuries, while also sabotaging the locker room by throwing the young players under the bus, while also loafing on plays. You would be lucky, very lucky to get anyone to take him off your hands for anything other than an equally bad slate of negative value contracts in return. MLB doesn't allow trading draft picks (for the most part) so salary dumping your mistakes is extremely difficult. This isn't the NBA. When you make $30 million per year, and only play half the season, you are being paid at a $60 million salary on a per game basis. That is Ohtani money, and correa isn't worth anything close to that. Plus there is the ugly fact that he has several years left on this contract, and might even play less than half the season moving forward. It was one of the worst contracts ever given out in MLB, just like the Donaldson one before it. The idea that you are going to get "2 of the top 10 prospects" from some contender in a trade package is a pipe dream. -Guardians fan

Frankly, I wouldnt put too much stock in titles or promotions. Clearly, from a business standpoint, the Pohlads are cutting wages to help right size the business. I'm sure they fully expect the new ownership to "clean house" and replace Falvey and everyone else with their own people. 1.) Consolidating wages. 2.) Keeping a stable leadership until the new ownership decides who they want to replace the old leadership. Why can Falvey and rehire when the new ownership is going to replace whoever you put in there anyways?
@Cottoncandyrandy458Күн бұрын
They will never get a player of his caliber through a trade of him. It would be very hard to support

What is happening with this team? Like honestly this is the most meh I have felt about this organization in quite some time. Stuck in limbo. Not trading people (at least yet). Front office is shuffling cards. The players can’t figure it out when it matters most (again). We can’t stay healthy. We won’t spend. It’s such a headache to even care or talk about this team until they actually do something worth talking about.

Even when Carlos Correa is at his best, it’s not like he’s an MVP candidate. There are teams like the Yankees and Dodgers who have like 4-5 as good as Carlos Correa on their roster. My point is, Correa isn’t this precious resource we need to protect. The only way we can make it to the WS is to either have a fluke DBacks run (which won’t ever happen in Minnesota) or to go full Rays. Might as well listen in on calls for Carlos
@benjames45022 күн бұрын
If that was true why were the dodgers using Mookie Betts as shortstop, next time think before you post.
@noahwelch29312 күн бұрын
@ Maybe you misunderstood, obviously not everyone can play the position like he can, but the value as Correa as a whole is replicated but so many others throughout those teams
@benjames45022 күн бұрын
@@noahwelch2931Mookie Betts is a generational player and he couldn't play for a plus war at shortstop which is why he got moved back to his old position. Shortstops, all-star caliber who have play off credentials are far and few in between. The only shortstops in MLB that have his pedigree are Seager and Turner, nice try.
