Thanks for addressing this. You are the reason why I've felt confident the last 2 years using the customer's water & power. They definitely don't mind, and they don't ask for a discount b/c of this! Shout out to all of the detailers that are able to get all of their equipment from Day 1, but there are some that has to build from what they have and this is apart of it.

I just did my first paid detail. The customer met me at her drive way and told me where the water and electric was. They don’t care.

I like using my own water because it saves the time from having to unload the pressure washer and hookup your own hose to the customers water, I used to do it for a year, but I recently built my own truck bed setup with a tank, water pump, pressure washer, and mounted hose reel. The only thing I don’t have room for and do ask from the customer is a power source. It’s definitely okay to ask the customer for both as they are normally 99% okay with it most of the time

I have never used my own water (unless doing a rinseless wash) for over 8.5 years. In all of that time I have only once ever had someone on the phone ask if they get a discount because I'm using their water. That person was already looking for discounts "as a first time customer". Obviously not someone you even want. I don't think I've even ever told them I'm going to use their water/elec. I just show up and ask wheres the nearest hookups. No one has ever cared. Ever. Do a great job. That's all that matters. Now if they are at an apartment that's different but I have always kept that to a minimum since I don't carry water. Servicing at apartments sucks in my opinion as well so I just avoid them. The cars always were the dirtiest cars as well so I just priced myself away from those people.

I don’t agree with you telling people that if they have hardly any detailing equipment nor do they have hardly any experience, that they are “PROFESSIONAL” detailers. You are sending these people with no training from detailers who have been doing this for a long time. That’s like saying because I have a basketball and I have a decent jump shot, that I’m a professional NBA Basketball player. Sure you need to act professional but there are so many “pro detailers” these days and more than half of them can use a rotary from start to finish. Anyways that’s my rant on it. On a positive note I like a lot of the information you share and your videos are funny as heck and you are very successful brotha! Hope you have a great day

All i can say is to adjust your prices accordingly. End of story.
