When the Akita comes "online" around 6 months to 1 year of age, some Akitas seem to forget all the socialisation. Their innate territorialism just takes over in some cases.

can you be more specific? I have an AA and is very great at dog parks,hes an intact male 7 Mo. Although hes pretty submisive at the park (tail tucked) to bigger dominant dogs. You think theres a point in where that will change? he was a timid pup but ive built his confidence but I cant see him being "alpha" haha

I have a question. I have a 3 month old Akita inu puppy and she’s a great dog, always listens to me, responds to my commands for the most of the day. Then all of a sudden something clicks in her and she starts attacking me. What should I do to stop this behavior? I would appreciate it if you could respond to my comment
