@@ItaFootPod I do because we have the players for 433 and I think Sarri, Allegri or Conceicao would have been a better appointment. Milan went the cheap route but I hope it works out.

Fonseca is just an epiphenomenon NOT the cause. Ibrahimovic is a clown not a manager and the owner has nothing to do with football. After the fake Chinese owner we had Elliot fund and we win DESPITE it because the team was a group lead by people that had competence and rossonero blood. Then it arrived Redbird and the decline continued. Just compare Milan with a moneyless team as Inter: they built a great team because first of all they hired top manager and a good coach. Bottom line: sacking Fonseca is needed if the team don't follow him anymore BUT some players then have to go (Leao, Theo ... the rioters) and IF and ONLY IF the new coach is not a joke with zero experience in SerieA. Allegri or Sarri are the only choice

A question for Nima: I feel that you really care about Milan's wellbeing when you talk about what's going on and I also understand that you're a dedicated interista. Is it simply because of the sate of Serie A or a sort of "we want our rivals to be good, so we can beat them when they are good" kind of feeling? Or a bit of both? For me, I'd put myself in the second category (though I also think a Serie A with a strong Milan is a strong Serie A). For me beating rivals when they are strong makes the victory much more relevant. I would guess that beating Inter beating Milan by another 4 goals feels like beating a dead horse.

I’m an inter fan but I think the best Milan lineup is with pulisic as the CAM, leao left wing, chukwueze right wing, and play Abraham up front he is in better form than morata. Reijnders and Fofana holding mids. If they did that lineup, I would be most worried going into the derby to be honest, and i would also think they would look stronger if they had liberali and camarda as impact subs.

The 4-2-3-1 no longer works for us because we have mostly box to box midfielders and we don’t have a true defensive midfielder.

@@anthonylafleur6549 fair enough. Players can be adapted positionally if it is for the best for the team! But it would mean pulisic would need to be more defensive minded than current in 4-3-3 (drop in the mids to cover) and fofana/reijnders would need to also be more defensive minded. The pro would be having another attacking threat in chukwueze on the right. But yeh I can see why 4-3-3 in some ways has better balance.

There you go. I predicted that Milan going with a more attacking lineup could work, and it did! (Although Fonseca went all out with a 4-2-4). Milan outplayed inter today and deserved the win. Fonseca probably to retain the job now. Inter need to regroup big time because today was bad

I’m sorry but I have to disagree with Nima on the prediction. Our defense has not improved since Fonseca was hired and I have no confidence that we will get a result vs Inter and I think we will lose by 3 or 4 goals. I don’t think Cardinale is a bad guy but he put the wrong guys in place to handle the sporting side of the club and as a result Furlani, Moncada, and Ibra handled the mercato poorly.

Milan now plays discarded england players and top USMNT players. There was a time time when Milan had current Brazil NT players like cafu, dida n kaka in XI. I estimate club strength by seeing how many of the players break into top national teams' XI. This summer they let go zirkzee to buy morata. Never bid for calafiori,buongiorno or bellanova. Ovr the years sold locatelli,tonali they cud've been answer to gatutso-pirlo by now.
