Great episode guys! Great to see Hakan score a goal that looks like it is from the 2006 World Cup. We don’t see that many long range goals like this anymore. Yes I would like to see more of Taremi seeing as Lauti has been out of form. Give the captaincy to Barella. I would love to see Frattesi play in the left-centre-midfield position, similar to how McTomminay is playing (the pocket of space behind the strikers). I think in terms of attacking play he would offer more than mkhi. In terms of Lauti’s form, yes he looks heavier and slower. Hope to see the lad eat less Argentinian Parrilla with Correa, slim down, and get back to his sharp form from last season

Firing Juric is a mistake just as was the sacking of Mourihno. They may be playing bad but there is something rotten in Roma and that never have been the coaches. Last time Roma played UCL was 6/7 seasons ago and with these kind of turbulences they shall certainly wait for a couple of more seasons just to qualify.

I agree the mistake was sacking De Rossi, and appointing Juric. Could Sarri take over? I thought he might like to work with the players available, and if he turns it into a winning team he will be seen as a hero who saved Roma from this dumpster fire of a position. I’m still convinced Roma should play (CAM) Dybala, (RW) Soule and (Striker) Dobvyk all together, in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Pellegrini played as one of the two deep lying playmakers

VAR is simply 10 years behind the NFLs version of video replay. When the NFL introduces the coach's challenge and video replay, it promised to cure all refereeing ills and restore the integrity of outcomes. From day 1, until today, there is only more stoppages, more confusion, more media whining and absolutely ZERO increases in the integrity of the result. You are already seeing its affect on calcio. Constant fouls and an abundance of yellow and red cards. Still the same amount of questionable calls and ZERO improvement to the integrity of the outcome. It should only be used for goal verification.

Lukaku will be fine. He is still getting match fit. He is going away with Belgium on this international break, so that will help him get more minutes. Lukaku missed pre-season, he is still getting used to his team mates, and I believe that the system change (to accommodate McTominay) has negatively impacted on Lukaku. I disagree about his physicality 'decline'. On the rare occasions when he got turned and was running at the Inter defence, they couldn't get near him. Look at that run which would have led to a second Napoli goal if Kvara had been braver. Of course, Lukaku isn't as fast as he used to be. He is 31, injuries, miles on the clock, etc. But a fully match-fit Lukaku is still too good for 95% of Seria A defenders. He will get 15+ goals this season in the Seria A.

@ItaFootPod Conte trusts him. I wouldn't write him off after ten games. Of course, he is not the Lukaku of 2021. I have said that many times on Twitter. But he is still more than good enough for Seria A, and he will play a huge part if Napoli is to win the title. He has 8 G/A contributions in 10 games. He has to do more, and he will. The team is still figuring out how to play with him. The reason why I am not worried about him is because when he got away from Acerbi, they couldn't get near him. Gazette highlighted how well Acerbi did against Lukaku, and they underlined why the Italian defender was very clever as he never gave Lukaku a chance to isolate him. If that had happened, he would have been torched. Also, we saw what Lukaku did in the same stadium, two weeks previously.
