I know I might come off as a Sonic Adventure fanboy in the video, but I'll admit that the Sonic Adventure series is not perfect and that every Sonic game besides the Sonic Adventure series have their good points. Just thought I throw that out there. By the way, if you guys enjoy the humor in Sonic Colors, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Boom, and Sonic X, that's fine. More power to you guys, but I think SEGA needs to find a writer who can make jokes that can appeal to every Sonic fan, not just a certain amount of people. Again, I apologize if my voice was whiny and annoying to you guys, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of recording my lines again.

I think the reason SEGA/Sonic Team is taking forever to announce the 25th Anniversary title is because it maybe SA3 or an Adventure-Style game, if so, then they want to make it true to the Adventure games + Sonic Heroes. But that's just my opinion about the situation, as much as I want SA3 and I sound like an "SA3 Fanboy", the Adventure titles were basically my childhood and that's why I want SA3 so bad.

That's what I think exactly. I mean why they tease us with Big's fishing Adventure like that's missed up. It's like showing a kid candy and not giving it to the kid. I kinda think they are afraid to go back to 3D platforming since their last ones were not that good or great. Really, 06 was our last one, boom I don't really consider since it's a other company. I'll say I actually liked the Metarex saga. I don't get why Sonic X gets so much hate. the characters are well portrayed and the only real issue with the series is Chris Thorndyke. but even though he's as bad as he was, I don't think it's enough to consider the show bad (also, I watched it online in Japanese with subs so maybe I had a better experience than most since no 4kids.)

I respect your POV and I'll also leave mine. I think that Sonic Colors' jokes were quite funny. Sonic Lost world jokes were hit & miss with some amusing and others... eh... (do I have to mention it?). Sonic boom jokes were mostly bad with some good. The best one I can remember is when Knuckles hits Sonic "gently" making him lose a ring. The TV show has quite amusing jokes too... Among unfortunate bad and terrible ones like the one you quoted in 13:30 (I actually don't like most jokes with the "new" Knuckes although I like most of the jokes.) As for Sonic X... I hated the voice acting and the censorship of the dub but I liked the sub I found it different and amusing.

:D Thanks alot, buddy. It's interesting that you say that. I have actually wanted to work for Sega as the writer for the Sonic series since I was a kid. I mean it wasn't my life goal, but it would be really interesting to work for Sega and write stories for them. I've been trying to get my degree on scriptwriting for video games and learn a thing or two about drawing and doing game design and modeling. I can't promise you 100% that I would work for Sega, but if I do, I'll make a video about it.

Boosting makes the games better. I don't feel encouraged to boost in the games. I just boost when I feel like it.

I doubt there's a SA3 on the way but if they did announce it I would be genuinely scared because their is a 99.9999999% chance they're going to completely fuck it up. I don't give a shit about being deemed a sonic adventure fanboy, I think those games are fucking incredible independent of the nostalgic factor as they became the ideal examples of 3D platformers attached to a multiple character arching story. Something changed after SA2 which Sonic team can never get back it seems, at its base level the game feel of the controls felt secure in the adventure series but beyond they every game felt SO slippery and flimsy that it made me hate moving... in a sonic game. Beyond that the games just feel forced and they are just beating a dead horse of what the team think the fans want while not putting any real effort into the individual games they shit out now. I loved all the character play styles, Knuckles and Rouge emerald levels were so stylised and smooth, while tails and eggmans levels kept me thrilled throughout, Big and Amy were eh but I didn't care because the story and general adventure-esque play style kept me interested in the game. But hell, benefit of the doubt and all; If they release SA3 I'll still play it but I just know in my gut that I'm not going to have the same feeling I had playing those two adventure games.

Solid video (I can't believe I watched it all). I think something which is incredibly sad, is that most people don't even want a sonic adventure 3. There are tons of people who hope to never see it again. I think you did a really good job analyzing the beneficial traits of the adventure games. Like I was genuinely surprised about some of the observations you put together. I think you have the ability to make some actual differences come into affect for another game. I don't want to be the guy trying to hand out advice I know you didn't ask for, but this video came out as very rash. I think if you made a shorter and nicer video, you would be able to reach more people, and possibly make a positive connection along the way. I agree 100% with what you said in the video. Even though it's 2016, I ordered and played the Adventure series, and I have to say I loved the games, despite the outdated graphics. There's so many fun stuff to do, like raising chaos, racing, etc, and the story is so amazing. My first Sonic game I actually played is Sonic Colors, despite the jokes, I enjoyed the game. My favorite games are SA, SA2, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations and Sonic Unleashed, for the gameplay. However, for the stories, I liked the SA/SA2 stories. The Colors/Generations story are written like for children, reminds me of TTG, the jokes were too cheesy, but I laugh anyway because I don't mind, I just live with it. I agree 100% with the characters. I like the old character's personality way better than the new ones. I enjoyed the Sonic Boom show, because I'm glad to see Sonic on TV again, it's been a while since Sonic X. Other than that, wonderful video. :)

The level design shoukd take inspiration from the SADX level mods Windy Valley Beta and Mushroom Zone. The multiplayer mode should include a "party mode" where you play a series of games with one of three rulesets. 1: the first player to win X games wins. 2: the player with the most wins after X games wins. 3: Each player has X lives, lose one each time they lose a game, and the last player to have any lives left wins. Also, the emblems should gradually unlock an "universe encyclopedia" with a world map, timeline, character bios, concept art, etc. Basically a Sonic version of the Hyrule Historia. Just something to fix the mess that is Sonic lore.

Sonic team has improved in the last 6 years due to one thing. They have been communicating with the fans, especially through social media. They pretty much understand the fans at this point. I'd like to see SA3 and I believe in this day in the sonic age, they can do it justice based on previous fan reception and current fan communication. With that said however, the current game they are working on for the 25th anniversary is not SA3. This next game will be focused on pure classic fan service. This is evident by Sega's statement that sonic is going back to his roots. It is also evident through the 25th anniversary logo. And if you follow Sega and Sonic's social media, you may have noticed how everything has been strictly classic themed ever since the new logo's reveal. They've even been making new art of Amy's classic design, a design I would have considered forgotten since her redesign at the start of the new millennium. Not to mention the new "Megadrive" comic, which is a direct sequel to the classic Sonic games and includes all four main characters as well as eggman in their classic designs. Everything is pointing to a classic sonic game. And you know what? I'm ok with this. I kind of miss the old sonic.

I like the voices too. The only voices I had problem with were Tails and Eggman's voices, mostly Tails. I don't hate Eggman's voice, but some of his lines make it sound like he's reading from the script. Tails, on the other hand, is not that good. He sounds like he is reading from the script most of the time. However, Tails' voice actors in Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are not the worst. That award goes to Tails' Sonic Heroes voice actor. His voice in that game is the worst in my opinion.

Well, I didn't say that all the 3D Sonic games before Sonic 06 had dreadful graphics. Considering their release dates, the graphics are good in their own right. It's a matter of personal preference. I don't really care much about graphics in video games. I don't think "dreadful" was the right word to describe Sonic 06's graphics, rather it was unappealing to me. The only reason why I said that was because I was trying to bash the game to a bloody pulp. I didn't enjoy Sonic 06, so that's why I gave it so much shit. Look, if I knew that I was getting over 18,000 views in my Sonic video, I would've been alot nicer in my video. I just didn't expect that many people to watch my video. It's really surprising actually. Keep in mind, I was a really small channel with 34 subscribers, getting less than 1,000 views in most of my videos. I mean, I'm still small, but I was very small before I uploaded this video on youtube.

I hear what you want, you essentially want SA3 just...without saying it. you want the basic elements of it, but none of the bad bits (Big fishing). You also don't want any of that new humor the games have been showing lately (along with the official Sonic twitter I might add). Well let me tell you why you likely wont get it. It's already been made! See, despite your feelings towards it and what that man said in an interview, Sonic '06, was essentially SA3. Don't believe me? Well, what made the adventure games? The hub worlds? '06 had em + side quests to give them more life. Different Stories? '06 had those too. it even had the three main hogs play differently which I believe was something you listed as a want(tho you COULD just ignore the differences given to shadow and play him almost the same as you would sonic). The supporting cast even comes in to diversify the gameplay even more! Power ups? check. Plot that threatens the whole world? check. Chaos Emeralds used as a plot device instead of hidden away to be found by the effort of the player via bonus stages and the like? check. Hell, the only thing I think it lacked was a chao garden, but that hardly makes a Sonic Adventure game, especially with everything else listed. it was merely a minigame, albeit an addicting one. Face it, '06 was SA3 in all but name and therein lies the reason they wont make another. Fans wanted a new adventure game, so they tried to give us one in '06 and it failed miserably. It's a sad truth. Its Like sonic team gave us a couple of cakes. The first one, SA1, was a fresh idea and we liked it (except for the fish) and asked for another so they simplified the recipe, refined it and ultimately made a superior cake, SA2. Then they stopped making cakes for a while and tried some other dishes with mixed results until they heard we wanted cake again. So, they dusted off the old recipe, and made it again, but didn't call it a cake, they called it Pastry '06 and served it up. The ingredients were right but what we got was an unfinished mess, still in its mixing bowl with the top of the cake burnt black yet halfway through was still liquid batter. We didn't like it and they think we just don't like cake. It would be nice if '06 had been a good game and was thus well received. We might actually get a new adventure game if that was the case, I'd love a properly made new one. But the reality is that it wasn't and we wont. tl;dr: Sonic '06 was essentially SA3 in all but name and it tanked, making the company think fans don't want another adventure game. Face facts. Also burnt liquid cake analogy.

Let's be honest now, if SA3 doesn't save the franchise, nothing else can. It's either SA3 is a huge success, Sonic's back on top, everything's ok, or SA3 is a flop, Sonic spirals slowly into a pit of despair as all hope is lost. There. Is. No. Inbetween.

Doubtful, There is a 3rd option that could be presented in the future. A lot of people have talked about this and it makes sense in the long run. Either SA3 comes out and is a big hit, making Sonic on top again. SA3 flops and in a last ditch effort Sega sells or partners the Sonic IP to Nintendo. This has been something talked about for many years by everyone and seems like the most obvious thing to happen if such moment occurred. The reason behind this is back in the old days Sonic rivaled the likes of Mario, If the moment came that Nintendo could buy or partner with Sega to obtain Sonic then i have no doubt that Nintendo would jump on the deal without a second thought. Nintendo owns some of the most popular IP's known in the gaming world and has the most dedicated fans, Most of these fans are fans of Sonic as well. Nintendo would buy it or partner with SEGA because they would know it would be a good business strategy. Why miss the opportune moment to get a IP that most of your fans play? They wouldn't is the answer. If you think Nintendo would ruin sonic they wouldn't, Nintendo would save sonic if anything. Take Mario for example... they have made dozens of Platforms for Mario and haven't fucked a single game up... maybe a few titles were weird but they were still really fun in there own way. now take Mario and switch him with Sonic. Nintendo knows platformers so making a sonic game would be a piece of cake for them, the only difference is they would focus on speed instead of slowly walking. If you think about it, Mario is just Sonic in Human form and much slower... they both do the same shit, jump on enemy's doing nothing wrong while probably committing so many murders they are trifling that of Hitlers Rap Sheet. +AVGTrailers Honestly, I don't think Nintendo would ruin Sonic. If anything, they'd make him into what he was always meant to be- a legendary icon of gaming. Having an unlimited access to his licence, they'd always be able to use him in Smash or crossover him with their other franchises (The Yoshi and Zelda DLC for Lost World are the good examples, and so is the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series) and I've never seen a bad Nintendo game. Mario- only Mario 2 seemed a little off to me, but it was still a lot of fun, Zelda- again, the second one was odd, but fun, Pokemon- not a single game was flawed, each and every one a solid RPG, Metroid- Other M had some issues, but I'll let it slide, and there are mamy more franchises that Nintendo managed to never screw up. Sonic would be in good hands should they get the IP from Sega. But, Sega isn't quite done. They are going to drop their 25th anniversary bombs soon, and then we'll see what happens. That said, I am really afraid Sonic's big anniversary game is gonna be a Rise of Lyric-like turd and Sega won't sell Sonic, because he's their mascot, so they'll just let him sink with them. Like a blue, spiky Titanic.

GYARA Gaming Honestly, i would rather have Sega team up with Nintendo. Specifically Shigeru Miyamoto if they were to ever do a Team Developed Sonic Game. Would be interesting to see the design and gameplay of it. Imagine a *Mario Sun Shine-esk* Adventure Game... not Lost World style... i mean a Adventure Game with the feeling and open-ness of Sun Shine games. Hell i wouldn't mind a Mario/Sonic story based game, Getting kinda tired of seeing there only Collab game be Olympics based... or on rare occasion once every like 5-10years a Smash Game. The thing about loaning IP's is good compared to out right selling it, Red Button is a good example of a *Shared IP* they were just the worst team to give it to... kinda, I do have to give them credit on *Boom 2* That shit looks pretty fun from what i've seen. Still hate the characters though :/

+AVGTrailers Exactly! Sega and Nintendo working together would open up endless possibilities (Sonic pun not entirely intended) and I feel only good can come out of it. Still, those are only speculations on what could happen if they were to team up. All we can do right now is wait for the events to unfold.

imo the Adventure games aren't really that good, I have nostalgia for them yes but I think they're bad 3D Sonic games, Colors and Generations are the epitome of 3D Sonic, this isn't me being a troll, it's me stating my opinion, if you love the Adventure titles go ahead, although if I were to select a favorite it would without a doubt be Adventure 2

I do to they need to give him a rest and focus on many of the other great ips that they have. I personlly would love to see a new phantasy star or shining force the old ones on the genesis not the ps2 shining games or the phantasy star online series which good but not my taste really.

I think what they should do is remaster Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 for modern consoles. Then make a new game like sonic adventure 1 and 2 ,but NOT call it sonic adventure 3. I am saying this because if they remaster sonic adventure 1 and 2 with new graphics and less bugs they will understand what made those 2 great. I also think they should allow you to choose between boosting in your control settings that way both types of fans “the ones who like and the ones who hate boosting” will be accommodated for(What I mean by choose boosting in your controls is you start off with boosting turned off ,but you can turn it on in your controls menu). I also think they should have a chao garden app for phones that links with the new game thus allowing you to trade with friends online and locally with your phone (there would also be a chao garden in-game).

I really want to see an adventure/heroes type modern sonic game. I say adventure/heroes because let's be honest heroes is just more slippery but overall they control about the same. I want a new modern sonic game like this because we have only had the boost game play which I adore but I want to take a break then go back to boost. If I had to pick between SA3 or Heroes2 I'd have to pick heroes 2 since heroes is my favorite game but I feel like it had a lot of potential, people just hate it because you're practically playing the same stages over and over just being longer or shorter. If they make the game control like lost world (yes I think that game has great control) with a story similar to Colors but with the heroes main gameplay gimmick I think you can have an amazing game. Heroes is one of those games that if it was just polished a little bit more it would be as highly praised as the Adventure games but both series have flaws

let's be fair here: While Sega screwed up in Sonic 4, They made up for that with the Classic version of Sonic Generations. plus, they've been improving Sonic games ever since Unleashed, to be honest, if they manage to make an Adventure-like gameplay (with some elements of Generations but tweaked to work in 'slower' gameplay). By the Way, What do think of the Sonic comics? They probably has the best stories in the franchise. mixing up light hearted and dark. (Heck, at this point, I think the best thing Sega could do if they do make an Adventure 3 would be hiring Ian Flynn to write it, he's been proving time and again that he's great at writing Sonic Stories and Actually made Sonic Book funny!).

I like the Sonic comics. I haven't read all the issues, but I do enjoy the stories that they make. OMG, having Ian Flynn write for the Sonic series would be perfect! I can't believe that I didn't think of that when I was making my video. BTW, did you mean Sonic Boom instead of "Sonic Book"? If so, I would really like to get a copy of the Sonic Boom comics and read them myself.

I love how they made it pretty much a parody of itself (feels like those "abridged series" you see on KZbin) like, there's this part where sonic is trapped in a tiny cage and he starts going crazy because he "can't go fast".
