I've been doing a training bike, calisthenics, then one of your stretch videos every morning. And I feel great!

I use stretching as a social "event", at the end of a training session, where me and the friends i know from the gym can catch up and talk and have a good time. Or at least we used to, back in the days before the virus

I ' ve just finished my stretching routine and I cried because of intense uncomfortableness. I've high tolerance for pain but being uncomfortable is my weakness. I'm a comfort person.

Same i can tolerate pain due to my pain tolerance but once you add discomfort i’ll cry , because i hate feeling uncomfortable with a passion 😭

Here I am sore as hell after stretching. I have a very stiff lower body from years of neglecting them so when I first started to stretch I became really sore in my lower back and couldn't get out of bed for hours. However, the weirdest thing was when I went out I was able to bend and stretch normally and the pain got way less. This leads me to believe im on the right path and the pain is temporary because I am returning to my flexibility pre neglecting my legs. Im really enjoying the journey to becoming more flexible and I enjoy stretching way more than lifting weight at the current moment. That feeling I get when I increase my Rom feels too good. Most of my lower back pain is from when I messed up doing back extensions and it's lingering pain from that.

Hi Tom, I really appreciate your content. Thank you. A little while back u made a video about ankle strengthening in which u mentioned that u had an inversion sprain on your ankle and that it took a few years to recover completely. I'm right here in the middle of this issue mate. If u feel that the knowledge you've shared in that video is sufficient, then it's okay, but if not it'd mean the world to me if u could go into fine details of the whole process, eg. all the different exercises you've done and exercise progressions, also other techniques u may have used like massaging, stretching etc. It really doesn't have to be a fancy video, even if it's an hour long without any editing, id still be really grateful. please come through mate. Thanks again

Yeah, some hard lessons learned by watching "other" cali channels. I now incorporate yoga based stretching routine 4 to 5 times a week. Anywhere between 10 to 30 mins, depending on how I'm feeling, both mentally and physically. Great vid Tom, it's something that's not covered by too many others out there.

honestly from my experience stretching greatly reduces soreness if done after training, not excessive stretching ofc, but thats just my personal feeling, maybe it`s different for others

Hey Tom, thanks for another great video. Just wondering if you've come across any correlation between soreness from stretching and reduced sleep efficiency/quality? I'm trying to identify if it could be a contributing factor to poor sleep, especially if overtraining as you allude to in this video. Would love to hear your thoughts. Cheers

I always had the misconception, how streching right after my workout will reduce soreness to come.I noticed however that when i am really sore, streching reduces that soreness temporaroly, only whilst i am streching, and than it is back to the sore old muscle, so thank you for breaking that false truth.Greetings from Serbia :)

@BodyweightWarrior3 жыл бұрын
For sure, especially if it helps you get into a better position

I wouldn't include long static stretching. Stick to dynamic stretches for a warm up before free weights or calisthenics.
