It's pretty simple. The best option possible would be Cleary and Hynes. Cleary controls kicking, Hynes just worries about running the ball, which is his strength. But they'll favour chemistry more so it'll most likely always be Cleary and Luai until one of them have a complete horror show. In the mean time it either has to be Moses and one of Luai/Hynes. I think people are pretty slack as well on Hynes. Think people forget how much Cleary struggled as well. Took him 3 series to get his first assist, and would struggle with kicks due to pressure from Welch lol. You're not gonna come in and dominate. Hayne was rocks and diamonds early. Inglis was a freak, but he and Munster benefited from being with Smith, Slater, Cronk to ease them in. Nobody is gonna rock up and set the world on fire, especially when you're down to 12 for the entire game.
@delaceylehane77586 ай бұрын
What surprises me is how much flak Nicho is copping for the loss, while at the same time everyone is praising Luai. Luai did nothing all game! He was completely lackluster. People just see what they want to see. For example, the 40-20. Every comment I've read in regards to it blames its failure on Nicho, rather than the sheer brilliance of Xavier Coates (who had a blinder).

I do think Latrell should slot in - we have enough workhorses in the outside backs to make a tonne of metres, we just need a try or two more in our team and we can really give QLD a run for their money in Game 2. I understand the hesitancy but I really don’t see how you can overlook that sort of x-factor. Gus would have no problem picking Turbo at centre, he obviously just has some issue with Trell’s character. Maybe that’s justified but I don’t see what we have to lose, we’re at serious risk of a clean sweep and some calculated risks need to be taken. By the way, I’m not even saying Sualii deserves to be dropped necessarily, although he did badly let the team down. He’s unavailable for Game 2 regardless. Moses I think is just a much better kicker and that becomes far more important for Origin. I feel for Nicho as he’s classy and a great bloke but no one can convince me Moses isn’t a better 7 at the moment.

I hope they pick either Adam Reynolds or Luke Keary. Honestly those two have patience and they understand how to play in the most crucial part of the game. Reynolds is someone who creates opportunities out of nothing and if combined with Latrell Mitchell, that’s gonna be a winning combination for the blues. And Keary he is fast and thinks on his feet that’s where Tedesco comes in to back him up. Nicho Hynes was okay, but the thing was, he didn’t have any familiar players to combine with. It’s like he was trying to force himself to fit in but yet he gets pushed out and left hanging. Most halves need someone to back them up in a game that’s why Nicho didn’t play well coz he didn’t have someone to back him up who is familiar with how he plays.

Keep Nicko he wasn’t that bad. The issue with you blues is you’re so quick to drop players instead of giving them a chance to gel together. QLD has amazing cohesion because we back our players even when they don’t back themselves. Nicko is young and has a lot of pressure being put on him n he hasn’t really had much of a chance to find his feet in origin football. Only way he’s gonna get better at origin level is the if you keep giving him chances to build his confidence. I’d drop Luai because he isn’t a good second receiver to Nicko Hynes, as it felt like I was watching two players trying to make seperate plays instead of being on the same page.

Latrell Mitchell was picked but miss 2023 origin game due to his injury and also to ensure he is well and fit for the future games. Coach do the right thing to substitute Joseph Suali. The rest of the players for game 1 are also the best and quality but were also demorlised due to 12 men team. Maroons easy win is due to the gap created by Joseph Suali's send off. You may also allowe Matt Burton to take the field in game 2. As for Nicho Hynes due to his injury he may not perform to the full as one of the quality and best for No.6 or No. 7. . If you pick nicho, you gotta have an organiser in the 6. If they want to pick nicho again. Put Moses in the 6 and have Luai on the bench. As a 14. If they want Luai at 6 than they have to pick Moses in the 7.

No because Parramatta desperately needs Mosses to help Gutheson. Together they are Parramatta skillsets. Notice the performance improvement when Mosses returned. Nico is not playing to his potential.

The difference between Hynes and Cleary is crazy if Cleary played it would of been a lot closer
@delaceylehane77586 ай бұрын
Look at the stats for Cleary in game one last year compared to Nicho’s this year. Hynes beats him in every regard except for kicking. More tackles, less missed tackles, try assists, etc.

The try assist cleary gave to Ben Hunt last year was all time

As a blues fan, I think NSW need to stop changing players every time they lose a game. They need work on their coordination. Most of the players who have played with each other for years were all over the place when Suaalii was sent off. Meanwhile QLD put in Cobbo and Fidow knew exactly where to go and everyone else just knew what to do. Most of NSW tries seemed like fluke tries bc the coordination was so off. If they keep changing coaches and players they’ll still keep losing. 😒
