I had subscribed because of this channel and this was my second month and I kinda went all out this month! I got the Essentials, Classics, and Rock along with some extras (Joe Bataan, Thelonious Monk, Waylon Jennings, and Madlib). I think I remember you saying in an older video that you have another copy of Sly & the Family Stone was curious if you're going to cover it as well! Love the channel, keep it up!

I have the VMP press of The Strokes second album, Room on Fire, and it’s beautiful (probably prettier than this one), sounds good and is inexpensive. Very worthwhile if you get into Is This It?

Great video and the Strokes album is wicked, but I say no to other people picking music on my behalf. I know what I like and don't want crap sent my way at my expense. But that's just me each to their own. Have a good one.

This album was inescapable in my circles in 2001 (and it’s great). Now that you mention “New York City Cops,” I’m remembering the controversy with the timing of the album being right around 9/11, and I would bet that’s why that song was left off of some of the pressings.

Add prog rock to the listings please, VMP will always be limited by the contracts they can land to re-press anything. They got Dolly Parton though "Rock Star" first time out of the box however

This track excites me but I agree that they could have started with something even bigger; Zep II being a good shout. Might get this later on. I’m probably going to do the switch from next month from Essentials (I couldn’t this month as it’s Sly & The Freakin’ Family Stone this month) as what’s coming down the line this year all the way to “Tres Hombres” looks tasty. But metal? Prog? Yes please Mr VMP,70’s me please. And to any VMP virgins reading this then re VMP; yeah, what he said.

I’d like to see them have more metal releases, or add a metal track. I love what they did with the hip hop tracks, releasing albums that came out in the 90’s that we bought on CD. Forget Led Zeppelin - dime a dozen, everyone has them already, originals, 180 gram repressed, Walmart color vinyl, etc. Unless it’s something new like a re-release of the Robert Ludwig Hot Mix of Led Zeppelin 2.
