I might pick up that Junior Parker album. The original and reissue were very hard to find and were quite pricey. Being a regarded sample source didn't help matters either. Being that it's reissued under Mr. Bongo, it will probably sound better. That's the same company that reissued the first two albums by The Sylvers ten years ago.

Mr. Bongo always kills it. Normal black edition from them might have an obi.

Every so often, I'll go through your collection to see if I'm missing out on anything, and that Junior Parker caught my eye. I'm definitely gonna stream it, and take a listen. And VMP is still definitely in my future. Always a great video brotha man, much love to you.

Great video, personally I like these ones addressing the less well-known title. Also, I highly recommend another title in Mr. Bongo’s Groove Merchant series: O’Donel Levy: Simba. Great drumming by Steve Gadd on that one!

I’ve been searching for that Junior Parker album for a while and jumped when saw VMP was reissuing it. Stream his version of Tax Man and you’ll want a copy too!

I have to say that RTI did a poor job pressing the Fraction Moonblood. I ordered several variants - black, splatter, and Blue, and EVERY single one had a warp, and the splatter was unplayable regarding surface noise.

Mine was ok. But I have heard a lot of these moonblood pressings were coming in bad.
