Should the Winnipeg Jets re-sign Sean Monahan?

I would be OK signing Monahan but I would prefer finding a better fit. I think they need someone with more grit. If they signed him, two or three years at most. He looks like he is in decline for me. I am about the same regarding Ehlers. He could be a piece of a good trade package because I am looking for the Jets to get another puck moving defenseman. That to me was a big piece of Colorado taking total control of the series. I think between Lambert and Chibrikov will replace Ehlers/Monahan in a fairly short term.

After big names in UFA Domi,Wennberg,Roslovic,Stephenson,Duchene how many would sign here. Iafallo is a UFA at 4.1m filled in top 6 since the 3rd line never changed and on 4th line maybe he or Perfetti we could move for a 2nd line true center since wingers easier come by. RFA KentJohnson,DawsonMercer or up and comming guys like Savoie make sense team control develop. The Ehlers deal makes most sense is for a dman I like Ehlers+Stanley=Pulock +2nd A guy could fit even on 4th line is TannerPearson played with Scheifele U20s,Barrie,and Hawerchuk connecton. Maybe take a gamble KirbyDach can be a 2nd line Center after injury.

A 4th year for Monahan is fine, as long as it's flexible. Must have limited trade protection, no front loading and no signing bonus in years 3 and 4.

They both didn't play well in the playoffs. Ehlers is good with good speed he needs to shine all the time! And they should re-sign dillion I seriously don't know why they're not, he was a good presence this year minus the injury.

Jets don't really need him. But I would be ok signing him short term but that's not what he wants.
