Should this be your first LASER Cutter/Engraver? (Creality Falcon 2 pro)

💡Tips and settings
✅ get Lightburn (free trial for a month), then 60€ for a license (with coupon "NEW-10" its 50€!) de.atomstack.net/products/lig...
✅ ensure that the focal length of the laser module is correct and the lens of the laser module is clean when powered off (It can be cleaned with cloth and alcohol)
✅ parameters are for reference only because the color of the material is different and it will lead to a different effect

✅ higher power or slower speed means deeper cut
✅ lower power or faster speed make shallower effect (engrave)
✅ on brushed stainless steel can achieve colorful effects by setting different parameters, but the oxidation degree of different materials is different, and slight differences in focal length and power will also affect the actual effect. It is recommended to do some tests on your material
✅ the bottom surface of the cutting place should be suspended (use honeycomb worktable or the included rods) when cutting
✅ protect your workbench (using aluminum plates or other materials that are not easily penetrated by laser)
✅ disable “Air” when engraving / enable ”Air” when cutting

Well, good idea. Never used a plan from ft, but if it fits within 40 x 41 cm then yes (roughly 16 inch). Longer parts will fit in there, but the cutting can only be done in this size…

Thank you for the honest review will it engrave drinks bottles and glasses, because it seems to have a delph limit with the tray, thank you again.

I dont know at the moment what the max height is. you can leave away the knive blade rods above the tray and lay it ~4cm lower by that. But engraving glas isn't easy (havent tried yet). there's a german lady (Dragoncut) - she tested a lot. you need to apply some paint to engrave in glass. Or you can lay some cardboard below the glass and have it engrave there.

Is it possible to upgrade a falcon 2 to a falcon 2 proof is it a new unit design in entirety?

There is no relevant difference. In fact there are some major downsides. You cannot increase the z-height to properly engrave with the rotary tool. The tray has magnetic sensors that prevents its removal. Pretty hilarious actually, the amount of deception from Creality on this one.

@@scrampker Interesting so the the only benefit to the Pro is the built in enclosure which in reality I could construct myself - looking at a 22W and looks like I may as well just buy the Falcon 2 rather than the pro then build or buy a seperate enclosure? no additional benefits on the Pro?

I can confirm: not even with some own magnets I could fake the unit to work with an open tray (because I wanted to cut something very long and thought I could keep the tray open My guess, this is important for shops that couldn't easily operate an class4 Laser due to workplace security, but they can now operate It encased as an class1

Compared to falcon2, the major benefits of falcon2pro are their camera system, the cleaning tray, the enclosure. For the rotary kit, need to purchase extra risers to support it.(In this way, you take out the fense and the enclosure can not cover that part) @@simonish68

@@Rcschim someone on Reddit says they found a physical switch that gets pushed into place when the drawer is inserted. Allegedly only needs to be pushed once by hand each time the drawer is removed. I personally cannot find this, but it sounds like some sort of roller/rocker switch if this is true.

Is this engraver able to engrave name on stainless steel ?

Hi, that's difficult for sure. Currently I'm testing the xTool S1 (40W) and it has samples. Will see how it works. On stainless steel, quite reflective, you need to apply some paint I guess. Best engraving on metal is, if it has some sort of paint coating which can be burnt away...
