Hey Horse Lovers! Kyle and I went to the MT. PLEASANT HORSE AUCTION (Yoder Bros Sale)! Their fall sale was full of beautiful horses but a few in particular stood out! We found some stunning grey horses that were so sweet. well trained and built nice! We saw so many kind, beautiful horses at this sale and many of them were TEMPTING us to bid and buy. In this video we will show you as many horses as we can, point out what we see, tell you what we like, and show you some of the prices. This auction was in Michigan and is held 2x per year! I use zinc based diaper cream on my horse’s white areas that tend to burn in our southern climate. It prevents sunburn, doesn’t wash off in the rain, and has healing properties.

I think that depends on how full your wallet is. 😊 They may think he was a real bargain at that price. I know it would be way out of my range! If I had that kind of money laying around I have a lot of repairs on my house that would take priority.

Agree, I think the northern area that she’s buying in is very overpriced for horses, especially since the horses she buys are really only suitable for western trail. She likes heavy, drafty horses that, while beautiful, have movement not really suitable for any specific discipline found in western or English. While she appears to train her students in English tack, none of her horses could be competitive. To pay $18k for a trail horse is something I have a hard time wrapping my head around. She does have a knack for picking horses with lovely temperaments.

@@oldageisdumb To be fair, Shay has said before that she's not in the business of competitive horses. She shows them to get them exposure to different disciplines + socialization + as part of their training to become good general riding horses, and to let her students get low-level showing experience. The horses she sells on are going to farms like hers or to more "casual" riders, I'm sure. But yes, I think we all can agree that horse was bought for more than what's likely his "fair" value.

Those grays - my goodness the care, attention, and love that was clearly put into those two! They were way out of my (non existent) budget but worth every penny. Good on those two Amish men beating (in many cases sadly earned) stereotypes.

The white draft horse is so beautiful and it seems like you connected the same way you connected with Naveen seeing the way he bought his head in to you for a hug. He has a bit of the same puppy-like quality. He seemed to really enjoy the nose kisses, too. And he's a big boy, which I love.

Oh darn, I saw too many I liked too. I agree about the grays, so I would stick to the darker colored horses or the paints. This was an interesting auction video. The little one at the ending that Kyle was scratching was adorable. Can't wait for the next one because I love seeing all of the horses. Happy trails to you and God bless.

And the big „marshmallow“ of a horse - the connection between him and Shae was palpable through the screen. But I definitely understand your hesitation about the front left.

I truly love following along at the auctions you guys go to ... I love listening and looking at what you look for in horses and it's fun to see which ones you and Kyle are attracted to the most. I agreed with Kyle that if you had more room it would have been so sweet to take that momma and colt home with you. Kyle has such a very soft spot for animals, even if he is more of a car guy ... LOL!! I'm getting very excited to hear/see what it is that you have coming up for us ... that little hint at the beginning has me on the edge of my seat!

REMEMBER that was the bid that won, if Shae or anyone else had bid it could have gone higher. I discovered years ago that it's not the person who bids the last that sets the price it's the last person who quits bidding. In other words, if I quit before the other bidder has reached his/her limit, I'm the one that sets the price as I quit and the winner would only have to bid a few dollars more to get the horse. But no one knows that when it is going on. One auction that I wanted to buy some used corral panels, I couldn't be there on sale day so I arranged for the auction house bid for me. Here in my state that's perfectly legal. The people that quit bidding was expecting that I would just pick the ones I wanted and they would bid on the rest. However, I wanted them ALL! The ones that quit were really mad when they found that out. (The auctioneers told me later about it...)

I love how you wait for everything to align right. It shows that there's an element of spiritual intervention that goes along with this. It also shows how wonderful horses are in general because it's so easy to connect with them. Other than dogs, I really don't see this in other animals. Well, maybe your pig. 😊

I'd noticed as well. Have to say I watched the all the Prince Charming videos this morning, it was heartbreaking and with what's going on with Belle, it wouldn't really be a good idea to take the risk. If you love animals as much as Shae obviously does, you invest a lot emotionally, there's only so much at one time you can cope with. I think after Jiminey's recent emergency, trying to find a new property as well, the time isn't right, right now.
