The padlock is either 4 when the kids won't go to bed you lock it so they won't come out or some lost their head that house and they were trying to keep people in and that's why it's taped so there because they were probably p### Tapes if you know what I mean

It could be saved that T1-11 siding would have to go. If you got stock cabinets for the kitchen and put them In yourself it wouldn’t cost a lot to fix. The only thing I would have contracted out is the electric and the hvac. The rest could be done by yourself. Is there acreage with this house?

Locks outside a useable bedroom weird indeed!! 😳 Maybe that's why it was trashed??🤔 I had a lock outside a spare bedroom that was used for storage (of items) to keep others out... not in. As for the drink pass-thru bathroom-to- kitchen idea...😅😅. I agree with Your price of $10k. Thanks for the tour... good luck on this wholesale deal!

Regarding the locks on the bedrooms. I’ve seen that in houses that have been turned into low income room rentals. They would have those on the outside of the door to pad lock them and prevent the other “tenants” from entering their room and taking stuff. Just a guess, but that’s what it looks like due to the condition of the house and bedrooms.

Hi guys! So I’m kinda in a sticky situation I need a little bit of advice. I am about to move into my parents old house. I only have 3 1/2 years left on the mortgage but I kinda want to sell it because It needs literally everything.. Roof, plumbing, electrical, etc are bad.. The windows, the kitchen, the bathroom, the flooring is all original from 1975. I’m just worried that I’m gonna be take an unbelievable loss on the house because of what a mess it is. A lot people are telling me just to stay, some are telling me to fix it up and sell it, and some are telling me to sell it as is. I don’t know what to do, it’s very overwhelming.

The three satellite dishes may hold the clue. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve seen exterior locks for two reasons, multiple roommates while they are not home or hearing impaired parents who cannot hear if their kids exit their room during the night (they usually install the privacy door handle inversely). Looks like way too much work for what it’s worth. 10k is appropriate; it’s mostly destroyed.

If I was to make an offer on this house I guess I would figure out what the value of the land would be. seeing the house is going to need a total rehab or may have to knock it down if the structure is not sound and unfixable. 10.000 to 15.000 I would offer

I am very curious about those kids' bedrooms, something definitely not right there and I have a bit of an idea. The house isn't that bad if I compare it to what the tenants did to my mother's house. Didn't want to do it but there was so much damage I just sold it, with me living in TX and the house in MS, we couldn't manage it well.

Like you said though I sure wouldn't pay the asking price. Maybe half the asking price, since whoever buys it is going to have to contend with putting in wiring, were it was yanked & the rebuilding of slot of the walls. The appliances r totally gone and those colors in the bedrooms.

Definitely unfortunate, looks like it was a fairly nice house at one time, the kitchen cupboards look like they (Were) fairly high-end at one time. You definitely have problems or your kids have problems if you need to lock them in their rooms. When you were in the kitchen I think a bird or bat flew down the stairs and out the door.

MS.....You have shown much worse. First I would check underneath that proper materials were used....If so Green to go, Does that area require permits? Were they pulled? Actually, It appears to have been a 2nd home or vacation home. The people probably arent off correct market price for several years ago. The hasp on the doors mean nothing unusual. Dang shame that local vermin got into elec. I would love to be inside with a cattle prod when they come back. I am sure the neighbors know who the vandals are, I have no problem with sending a parent or teens to jail. I would probably cut the water back on and run a hose to see if plumbing is still ok or at least so so. A new, larger shed with a veranda would be fantastic. All the sheetrock is not destroyed. Big cost for Electrician. A really good handyman can replace the elec.. Outside...cut the wood siding up a few feet and replace lower portion with a cement siding. If the neighbor kids are truly sorry and want to stay out of juvie some good snow shovels and brooms should remove nature. Actually some keen switches and a lot of yelling put the fear of God into my nemesis...but they were small. I think it was a NICE house. Lovely property.

If there was anything redeemable other than the one door that wasn't broken it might be worth a shot at 10K. I'm in northern Ohio and I paid $14K for my fixer upper. Not the best neighborhood, but not the worst and it's a livable fixer upper

I’d say the padlocks 🔒 on the outside were because people were renting rooms from the tenant. Hopefully, it was a tenant and not the landlord that did all that damage! After a thorough cleaning the state of the house would evidence more than a redeemable structure. (Unless the well and septic were altogether failed. Which is unlikely.) 10k is an insult. The site alone warrants a reasonable offer.

This home looks like it was abandoned for a while. Is it structurally sound? The roof caving in isn't a good sign, but you said it was replaced not too long ago. I honestly would find it difficult to want to fix it without a thorough structural investigation by a Structural Engineer. Yuk! Padlocks on the outside of a children's room is very disconcerting. I've read some very horrible things about stuff like this. I think the place needs to be razed. No heart emoji for me this time, but I've got some awful feelings about this place.
