The only thing that I like there is the access to the sea; everything else is pure concrete, lack of warmth overall, human rights inequality, sick obsession with luxury, showing off, etc.

as an ex crew as well man I got some memories back! 🥲I miss Dubai but also think its impossible to live there unless you are crew or have a lot of savings/a great paying job.. however the nostalgia is real haha. you guys don't have to feel pressured to settle yet, but its also fun to consider where to live next! that's an amazing luxury to have. wish you all the best!

And what about giving back to those less fortunate, do you Also get tax free credit applied automatically and directly back into your account with full amount, perks and bonuses as a way of keeping the system going so, that no one is left out and it's a win win situation for everyone no matter what class, ethnicity or race that you are? And to claim these tax free credits is it paperless when you go to file your taxes and try claiming for these credits, bonuses and perks?

Hii, really hope you will be answering my question. Gonna start my journey as an Emirates cabin crew soon, but I'm hearing so many bad things and now I'm kinda anxious and scared. But something I really wanted to know is what happens if we decide to leave before the end of the contract of 3 years, for example after 1 year. I'm pretty sure we have to pay, but how much ?

hope you don't mind me answering, as an ex ek crew myself... but every experience in life is gonna be what you make of it.. whether it will be amazing or horrible is up to you. my advice is enjoy your time in emirates as it will be the most special, out of the ordinary, insane experience of your life, with a lot of ups and downs. you will learn a lot and grow as a person, earn a lot of money, see the world and make lifelong friendships. you will never regret taking this chance. and if you want to leave before your contract ends, you can - I remember if you leave before the 1 year period you will owe the company a few thousand dirhams (training fees etc). nothing crazy but I think they still have that kind of ''penalty'' fee for breaking the contract. however give yourself time to experience the job and take away all the positives you can 😊
