Rather than using a patting motion to pack roller bearings, I learned, at about 12 years old, to do a scooping motion of the edge of the bearing into my palm full of grease, and I believe the scoop motion to be much quicker to fully pack a bearing set.

I just bought 71 Harley Davidson sportster. It has a hardtail and springer front fork that looks like those. The problem I'm having is the rear brake linkage eyelet & bolt were ground down almost in half. It has a jockey shifter on it and it came with foot shifter. I used the eyelet and bolt from the foot shifter to replace the brake linkage eyelet. The brake lever attached there is to low to the ground. The springer front end are longer forks creating the frame to sit higher in front and lowering the rear as to oppose to stock forks. I wonder if a differently made hardtail is made to fit that could raise up the rear a bit more or should I drill & retap threads hole above the one there on the triangular shaped brake lever to raise the linkage itself then, cut the lever original bolt hole off?

Hey there brothers great project I've always wished for a Springer frontend I ride a 68 Sportster buy the way if any of y'all have some front brake lines for my 68 with dual front calipers and or a set of forward controls see I've got cancer and get leg and hip cramps I feel better when I stretch my legs out but without something to rest them on I can't hold them out very long so makes it hard to ride for any length of time remember always keep the dirty side down and be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠

Well, color me disappointed: I assumed this would be a funny, fun video featuring footage of disastrous mishaps that resulted when Jerry Springer tried riding a chopper for the first time. I was really excited!! He'd be on the pavement, at the end, a bit bloody and worse for wear and tear, but still his usual deeply human, middle-way-Buddhist self, and the icon would quip to the camera, "This has been a blast! I now know I was born for chopper-style bikes. Well, you probably are too! Don't fight over who is the father, anymore--that is pretty played-out. And, of course, be good to each other. Come visit me at Mount Sinai!"

Was hoping to see you actually mount the front end and not to nit pick but why didn't you just pull the old front end off as one piece, unscrew the stem nut and pull it? I think you should have mounted the front brake rotor before balancing the wheel and tire, do you think it might have any effect of the over all balance? Over all the bike is looking good.
@staceytoepfert76843 жыл бұрын
