I feel like I should be able to purchase a policy that fits my needs free from government healthcare. The problem is that because of this these healthcare professionals have the ability to withdraw their services by the way of strikes when they are not satisfied with the conditions. It’s almost impossible to see a GP. It’s impossible to see a specialist. Access is absolutely terrible and to be frank unacceptable The NHs and the government are literally playing with people’s livesThis model is just not working. We pay so much tax for the NHs. Agree with Alex, the quality of healthcare in the UK low and those who really need it don’t get it, overstretched because of inappropriate use because it is free. Overstretched because of poor care hence patients keep needing several appointments to get their one problem sorted, a simple example in primary care: a patient is offered to see one these non-doctor health workers who are in theory only see minor coughs and cold but even simple cough and cold can be something more serious but this is another story but it is difficult to differentiate between a simple case and a complicated one, patients are individuals and not everyone fit in one box like these people are trained in their fast tracked 2 year training courses. Hence they deal with one issue or just request some unnecessary investigations because even a child can click things on a computer then the patient has to see a GP and they have to reassess the patient from the beginning and order different tests then see them again. 3 appointments and lots of unnecessary investigations hence waste time for resources multiply that by thousands. Partly this is how the hard earned tax payers money partly is wasted. And people who have paid taxes all their lives don’t get a good quality healthcare because of this

If the FTSE returns were as high as the S&P 500 I Guarantee you that our economy will change from gloomy to Insanely good overnight.... I know this might not be a popular take at all, but I think if Investment was restricted to other countries through the form of a stocks and shares isa which in its current form applies to all stocks and all shares ----> to be changed to a stocks and shares ISA which can only be applied to a FTSE index, Guarantee this will deliver the same results (assuming people dont buy more properties instead)
