I do both clean deadlifts and clean pulls, and my cleans shot up like 35kg

I'm a complete novice with weightlifting and was wondering this exact thing, thanks for the info!! Oh, for what I just found in the 105 category the highest deadlift seems to be around 424.4, by Heather Connor

Not only should weightlifters deadlift, 80-90% of their training should comprise exclusively of deadlift and deadlift variants, with extra focus placed on natural stones (pumice and coral primarily) with occasional inverted trap bar work. Only on sparse occasion should weightlifting athletes perform the snatch or clean in training, for example in the weeks directly following a meet or peaking cycle. This is to ensure maximal neuro-skeletal-muscular condition for the peak event itself, which performing a full snatch or clean (or even a variant) may easily compromise. If one must perform one of these movements and insists on over-optimization of technique or speed, then it is recommended to only perform these at 20-30% of max weight in a hyperbarric or, better yet, low gravity environment.

I think the Trap Bar deadlift is underrated for Weightlifting. What do you think?

As I got older, I found it was better to just do the clean and snatch pulls and save myself the wear and tear that the deadlifts brought. Too easy to get an injury and as I entered my mid 30's those injury free days were like gold.
