No, wet markets should not be closed, they are key locations for people who want to buy fresh meat and vegetables. Without the wet markets, people will only have the choice of supermarkets and refrigerated food. The selling of wild animals in wet markets should be tracked down and stopped.

I lived in China for 20+ years and I've seen enough wet markets there, but I've never seen wet market like those shown in the video my ENTIRE LIFE. They're taking the "extreme" wildlife wet markets and telling you it's the "norm" of regular wet markets.

The extremes are already banned, you don't say, it's also pretty hard to get any new footage to those extremes and that's why they can only use old ones. The average wet market is fine and exists across the entire world like Japan, Mexico parts of Europe, etc. But this channel has always been anti-China for a long time, I'm not surprised here.

You can't ask us to close our wet market down it is part of our culture, it is part of our economy. I lived in southern China. Guangdong province is the kitchen of China with the largest variety of food. Let me tell you some of our routine food that you may think gross. You can vote which one is the most disgusting. Most of them are slaughtered alive. Are you ready? 🐍Snake deep fried or soup, 🐸Spicy frog Sichuan style, 🐙Octopus Salad with red pepper, 🐌Spicy sea snails in plum wine, BBQ goat, fresh water and sea eels, farm raised crocodile, Deep fried pigeons, chicken feet, pig brain, goose blood tofu, Oh, I am full. Hahahaha. I will tell you more next time. BTW, we don't eat dogs, cats, rats, bats, pangolins, I think in remote villages in China some people eat those too. In big cities like Beijing and Shanghai there is a rather popular Sichuan street food-Deep fried scorpions. Sichuan is near Thailand with tropical forest so they eat insects, ants, bees, scorpions are routines. I know they eat bats in Indonesia and Papua New Ginea, my friend went scuba diving in Palau and ate bat.
