@@TheWhiteCometOfZion for handling, absolutely the Mach 1 or gt350 are better. Two completely different cars with different purposes. They just both share the Mustang name. I prefer more straight line fun rather than road course/twisty roads. But there’s nothing wrong with either way.

@@TheWhiteCometOfZion yea, the HP Mach’s are a great track car and the GT350R is my all time best Mustang, BUT the S550 feels almost foreign as compared to a Gen 1, Fox, or even a New Edge and most people say it doesn’t feel “Mustang” that being said I’d pick an S550 as a daily being that I have one and the creature comforts are very nice to have.

If I'm gonna spend close to the same amount of money then might aswell just go with the more modern and in general better performing sports car that is more likely to not be completely miled up and also unless I'm just not looking in the right places it's either very expensive or impossible to find gen 1 coyote crate motors to replace a potentially blown up/high mileage motor. Kind of the dilemma I'm in for the time being until I'm actually ready to make that purchase

I bought it in Michigan from a large dealership and it was actually a Canadian car bought in Canada at a Hertz auction. Still with full dealer warranty I got it at a steal of just over $32,000. I couldn't believe it when I could find nothing negative in the car's history. Since and soon after I started modding it. JPL Cold air and SVT tune at a Mustang performance shop, followed by BBK LTH, X-pipe with high flow cats, and Vari-Tune mufflers (love them). Ebach Sport lowering springs, some nice chromed beefier LCAs and adjustable pan hard bar. Rouch chin splitter and blacked out side markers. I run 285x40x19 NITTOs on the rear/245s on the front. Never on salt or snow, summer driver only. Plus, I'm a 72 old man that I would consider a "spirited driver" but I don't beat my cars with repeated burn outs and never drifted it. Any offers? 🤔🙂

I did! Love it, mostly. My complaints all center on it being too new for my liking, but that's true of everything from the mid 90s to 2000 or so forward. That modern crap really gets on my nerves. I miss my Fox's simplicity, but the S197 handles so much better, is so much quicker, is so much quieter, and is so much safer... It's a better choice as a daily driver. I bought a stated value classic car insurance policy on the Fox body that requires me to have another daily driver, which is the only reason I stopped DDing the Fox. It still runs perfectly (on the original non-rebuilt 302) and is reliable. It's much slower than the S197, but not a "dog" by any means.

@iloveoreos7776 ай бұрын
car don’t become unreliable because of mileage cars become unreliable when you don’t drive or maintain them.
@SVTEvan6 ай бұрын
The coyote platform in general is very reliable. I wouldn’t let mileage scare you as maintenance is a bigger factor in overall longevity/reliability. Replacement parts are a dime a dozen, so even if something does go wrong, it won’t cost a fortune. If you’re specifically looking for a 13-14 like I was, they’re now 10+ years old. So the average mileage per year is 10-15k. So anything under 100k is technically “low mileage”. I’d say anything 75k miles and less is a relatively safe bet. You can always do a PPI (pre purchase inspection) to ensure you’re getting a solid vehicle.

My '14 GT with the 6 spd auto and tuned is fast and snappy and will chirp the tires going from 2nd to 3rd. There many reports and videos covering this. I have a 2024 HPP ecoboost and I love the body lines along with the other bells and whistles, but the 11-14's just have that original Mustang look that everyone knows.

Agreed! How do you like the HPP ecoboost?
@jpcaspers89518 ай бұрын
@@SVTEvan it’s a lot of fun and has plenty of power for around town/highway use.

Dude with all do respect why did you get a Mustang GT with an automatic
@SVTEvan5 ай бұрын
Because the mt82 is trash and I prefer an automatic? If I want to drive manual, I’ll drive my 2003 cobra.
@renstaud5 ай бұрын
I had to go the route of auto for my 2012 gt cause it was the only one with 36k miles - also being in Atlanta makes stick shift hell, coupled with nerve damage in left leg😒
