What I love about the Japanese booster boxes is that when you get a Vmax card you'll always get a V card that waited with that card. So when I saw that you pulled two Trevenant V I knew you would pull a Trevenant Vmax as well. The international version doesn't work that way unfortunately

here in brazil we have a 36 boosterbox with 6 cards + code packs with around 4 ultra rares one of them being a full art/hyper rare, im kinda sad seeing a 7 hit booster box being called "bad"

I’ve just opened a blue sky stream box and I got a SR and a HR so you have 2 chances to get alt rayquaza. Though there are boxes that only have the SR. My other box that full art gyarados V and the one I just opened had a trevenant full art and a rainbow vmax trevenant

Personally I would wait. They said they were going to print those boxes like crazy, so there should be plenty to go around after release. Plus, if you purchase a “preorder” right now you’re buying from a scalper who doesn’t even have a guaranteed preorder in, seeing as how they just announced the process for securing preorders today, and it’s a very convoluted process that requires having a Japanese address, Japanese phone number, and picking the box up in person.

Ray Vmax alt could be similar to the Blaziken vmax alt from chilling reign in being a secret rare but a lot of Alts are not secret mainly the regular V’s. The VMAX alt art cards from Battle styles and Chilling reign are secret pretty sure

I’m confused Jake. I know there’s “more” secret rares in the Japanese sets because full art Vs are secrets in them. BUT, in American they combine 2-3 sets so there are more ultra rare slots and not every booster box has a secret rare. Analytically speaking it’s hard for me to see the pull rates are better or worse for each version.

I find Japanese is a significantly better bang for your buck. Yes, English combines multiple sets, but consider that majority of the time you're pulling close to double the "good pulls" out of Japanese boxes compared to English. I'm not really too concerned about full-arts being SR rarity in Japanese because the boxes are $60 MSRP and I'm two for two on alt arts with the past two Japanese boxes I've opened and im 0 for 3 on the past three + English boxes I've opened. Im pulling like 5 V cards, 3 VMAX cards, an alt art and every holo in the set out of one box. Meanwhile, for over double the price I can pull 4 V cards, 1 VMAX and 1 full art, all damaged as well of course. Having these massive sets is actually not good imo, especially considering there's like 10 alt arts per set that appear to be 1 per booster case rarity. Sorry to talk your ear off about this, ive just been super frustrated with English lately and finding solace in Japanese 😅

I already whined in another video about literally ALL the holo slot cards ONLY were damaged in my second wave of Vivid Voltage, and I pulled great full art trainers that are all damaged. To go along with what you said I also enjoy how for example in Eevee Heroes you can pull almost strictly Eevee secret rares. If that is what you desire then ripping boxes AND collecting singles are both enjoyable. As for me I may buy one evolving skies booster to rip but I'm definitely buying the singles I want 60-90 days after release.

Your pull is pretty standard from what I’ve seen so far. You usually get 4 Vs and 2 VMaxes plus 1 SR out of a box… sometimes you get an extra V or a VMax…

Even though the Japanese Special Arts are a tougher pull than the English Alt Arts, English always tends to have a premium for most collectors. Personally I love the Japanese cards and I have several graded ones, but not sure if the Japanese counter parts will be more valuable than the English ones. Always love the videos and the content Jake, keep em coming 😊

actually jake, the SR is NOT guaranteed. i’ve opened a box of BSS with no SR and a box of TP with no SR. i’ve also talked to some streamers and vendors who have also witnessed 0 SR boxes
