Awesome 🤩 Here we are 5 years later and your video has confirmed I purchased a good little monitor 23/02/2022. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺 🫵🏻 😎 👍🏻

+Matías Quiroga Thank you! That really means a lot. We figured if we kept the quality as high as we can make them from day one, people have more of a reason to subscribe. It's really nice to know we are heading in the right direction.

What an amazing review. So much creativity in the shots and the edit is very nice as well. Awesome!

I have a similar monitor, I recommend getting a mattifying anti-glare screen protector meant for laptops or tablets, and cutting out a 7-inch piece to fit your monitor, works like a charm! :)

So far I haven't found anything particularly bad with it. It's nice and sharp, built very well (plastic shell but certainly not bendy or flimsy), and is surprisingly bright!

Hi, Can we.use it with the ronin M
@TheFilmLook5 жыл бұрын
As long as your camera uses HDMI, I see no problem using it with the Ronin M. Just as long as you have a way to mount the monitor to the handles.

Absolutely fantastic review! Its the reason I've just purchased one myself! In regards to video latency, is there any way in your experience to improve it? As you say, it will always be there, but I was initially disappointed by how much latency there was when I first had my play (Baring in mind I havent actually used it for the project which was the reason I've bought one in the first place and of course it is my first ever monitor!) I was curious whether it was to do with my camera, whether the length or quality of the HDMI cable has any effect on the latency, or if I'm simply hoping for too much! If you have any advice you could give in your expertise it would be greatly appreciated! Regardless, its a lovely little monitor, and you guys create fantastic content! Cheers chaps!
@TheFilmLook7 жыл бұрын
Different cameras will vary in terms of latency to a monitor - it won't be a lot but a little is enough to be noticeable. Length/Quality of HDMI cables is a myth as far as I'm aware as it is a digital signal, either on or off. Try plugging it into your computer and move your cursor around; if it works like any other monitor then you'll know it's the signal between your camera and monitor.

Does anyone know how to adjust the volume when monitoring volume through the monitor? It's currently extremely loud, not sure where to turn it down.

Hello this monitor allows to modify the anamorphic mode to 1.5x?
@TheFilmLook7 жыл бұрын
It has anamorphic display markers but it doesn't squeeze the image back to 16:9. Are you using anamorphic lenses or throwing a letterbox over your 16:9 footage?

I am getting some weird glitches here and there with this monitor. sometimes 1 out 30 times it spills some weird horizontal lines and ruins the footage (it makes it unusable so even there is a notification: footage has error.. can not play it back), don't know why external.monitor influences footage (I use gh5), do you have experience with that? how did you solve it?
@TheFilmLook6 жыл бұрын
Haven't had anything like that unfortunately, sorry we can't be of any help

How good is it outside ? It's only 400 NITS ? Bright enough to see what you need ?
@TheFilmLook5 жыл бұрын
We've used it outside in the past, you can see it clearly in the shade but on a sunny day you'll have to pop the hood on. It's not insanely bright/
@dark-california5 жыл бұрын
@@TheFilmLook I am more concerned about the image of the monitor in bright sunlight since the F759 is only 400 NITS and I noticed that the new FW279 is 2200 NITS. Now if the hood solves the problem and it works for you .. . .. it will work here as well. Thanks for your input 👌
@TheFilmLook5 жыл бұрын
It isn't great in bright sunlight. In fact, it's unusable in direct sunlight!
@dark-california5 жыл бұрын
@@TheFilmLook Now it's unusable outside 🤔
@TheFilmLook5 жыл бұрын
If the sunlight is hitting the screen, you'll have a hard time seeing the shot. Out of direct sunlight, it's more than manageable.

Hi! Am I correct in assuming that although the built-in focus assist in the monitor isn't any good, I can still use the focus peaking that comes with my camera through the monitor right?
@TheFilmLook7 жыл бұрын
You can as long as your camera allows a replacement feed to the monitor from the camera screen. I know when some are attached they act as a 2nd monitor and not a replacement. The Sony a7s has both settings but yours may vary.

I NEED HELP...I BOUGHT THIS MONITOR FOR MY CANON 70D. BUT EVERYTIME I CONNECT THE MONITOR TO MY CAM - THE SCREEN ON THE CAM ITSELF TURNS BLACK ?? WHY IS THAT?
@jeffreykallevik15877 жыл бұрын
How do you get the monitor to display full screen from your camera. I have a Sony a7sII and i'm getting the cropping bars on the side. The screen on the camera is also not lit up when i connect it like yours is. Any suggestions? Seems like a setting within the camera to setup.
@TheFilmLook7 жыл бұрын
+Jeffrey Kallevik I do believe if you access the toolbox menu, there is an HDMI setting to change it from a duplicated screen to a live feed. It might be a little different on the Mark II, but it should be somewhere in your HDMI settings.
@jeffreykallevik15877 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I've tried to look for that setting with no luck. There's got to be something that I'm missing. Driving me insane over here.
