If this is based on x86 hardware, you can install pfSense or OPNSense on it. You will just need a keyboard (or serial console access), a boot USB flash drive, and a larger CF drive (8 GB or more).

I like Sonicwall, but I've done a bunch of work on them and understand the interface well. My new employer uses Forti, so I'm now learning that.

I deploy SonicWalls at work and I honesty really don’t like them, at least the TZ and SOHO series. Doing anything on them is a PITA, and any of the security features like IDS/IPS are behind licensing fees. PFSense and UniFi are cheaper options at the same price point that offer more features with no licensing and are much more user friendly. Anything bigger than SOHO/SMB just go with Cisco, Fortinet, etc at that point. I think PFSense also has enterprise licensing for those that need it

You seemed to be able to add 3g/4g modules but I didn't look too far into it
