I got a k20a3 swapped em2. Just a good tune and bolt ons and it’s honestly not bad. Almost as quick as my srt4 was.

I enjoy these videos. I have the EP3 (Civic Si) and I see the A3 as being the better engine for daily driving. The A3 still has the potential for performance being that it is a K20. A lot of people like to talk bad about the A3, as if they don't understand what V-TEC is for; and that is "Volumetric Efficiency" (not full-blown performance). I find it funny that "V-TEC Killer" locks the cams into a bigger profile, yet when this happens on the factory tune; that is when "V-TEC kicks in, yo."

K20a3 has the ability to fit the cranks from the better k20 vtecs; so basically you can swap the crank and put a k20a2 oil pump. boost it and a reliable daily w k20a2 rod an piston combo.

Hell yeah it’s worth it. For bolt ons with an A2 head/cam swap and hondata got me 210whp with injectors and fuel pump. Also 10.5lb flywheel for 2700$?Things rips. Went from 6800 redline to 7800. Nest i do supertech 12:1 pstons and ill make 230+who.

a3 have alot of potential with the right bolt on set ups they still have alot of power wen you take to consideration when most a3s running crappy manifolds

This is a great video but I have a question i’m getting into the K serious game what type of or code comes from 2003 accord block? And P and L/to hell what is that come from I’m trying to purchase everything separate transmission block and the head. Thank you guys

with hindata ecu and a2 cams for full vtec is fine,if u can put a2 pistons rods and crank u good,but stock is sucks

I have a dc5 that's automanual with a k20a3 in it. I was wondering if changing my plastic intake manifold to something Skunk2 Ultra Series intake manifold would bolt on easily since its auto? Also want to change the headers since I have a nice yonaka exhaust with a test pipe... Is making these changes worth it? Will i have to get kpro or hondata if i am able to make these changes? Or do I have to manual swap it? Please someone help me out.

That manifold is a major mod for a stock set up especially. You will need Kpro to get the best use out of any mod.

What kind of hp if I were to mate a civic fd1 head (not sure whether its a3 or a2) with a type r Dc5 block ? Not expecting high hp though

A k20a2 from an integra trpeR is 200hp at the crank, not the wheels.

Thanks bro u helped me out a lot. My k20z1 oil filter broke off the block so I was looking for info if I can use the k20a3 block and swap all the internals from my k20z1. Thanks again!

oil filter broke? if my imagination is correct it should not affect alot on the engine block

Trust me bro I wish I can fix my block. My pass. side axle broke and half the shaft hit the oil filter ripping the aluminum mount off the block

Kadeem Willock internals are still good just oil pouring out from where the filter used to be... I was trying to see if I can save it by threading a -an fitting and relocate the filter and stopping it from draining or leaking.

Nah. Not worth to build an a3 unless you are doing a full on build. But you can daily drive a stock a3 or lightly modded a3 with the 5sp manual and still have a ton of fun. A3 isn’t a powerful engine. But it isn’t like the a2 is vastly superior engine. They are two motors built for 2 different things. Stop the a3 hate. It’s slow but runs for decades and decades. Much like any other Honda engine.
