Can i do an complete A2 block with an A3 head with just intake, raceheader and exhuast with kpro? If so what would it make? 170ish? Stock TB and IM

Does the K20a3/A6 and the A2 pistons take the same rings?.. I have a very good A6 motor and I just a got a set of prb000 (k20a2/z4) pistons that came with no rings . Could I just slap the A6 rings onto that prb000 pistons? Thanks in advance

There is more "meat" on the a2 rods vs the a3 rods which means that the a3 rods are lighter than the a2. Does this mean that adding the higher compression pistons is going to help with by having less mass rotation? I'm thinking this will actually compliment the higher comp pistons move faster, producing more power up top than the a2 could achieve (assuming valve train or at least cfm was identical)? Also would thermodynamic have any effect on the durability of the a3 piston using a2 rods? I am asking these questions only for na build.

i think the overall weight difference their is negligible same as milling to raise compression. doing this kind of thing is only for budget builders that want to make the best of what they have. if your looking for the best results would be in making a poor mans a2 which would be full rotating assembly and head

What comp ratio would you aim for for building a boosted b16a2 with over 400hp? And what would be a good turbo kit for that setup w/ keep A/C

id say keep as close to stock compression as possible for best turbo response. keeping ac an 400whp can be tricky even if you use a log manifold. if you go to big on the turbo it gets in the way so you'd have to spin it around and notch the outside of the block on the tranny side. then of course you gotta hope your downpipe clears the compressor. if you go to small though you may over stress the turbo. id try using a 60trim an as long as the comp isnt super low you should make it....upgrade to gsr cams that'll also help

@@VHBEngines also thru some investigation found out the f23 rod has the same specs of the a3 rod ,and using a forged Chinese f23 rod with some cast f23 pistons puts you at 10.3:1 comp , I really wish I could messure the piston to deck hight of a a3 in its OEM form since this combo will sit the piston top about 1.25 mm from the standard a3 PTD hight ,it could be the forged rod that the a3s need

WilliamMUGEN but anyways another guy thats subbed to rhe channel shared his dyno sheet of a stock a3 with bolt ons an tune and he made 177 so i do believe this block would easily bump those numbers over 200

I think so. Now i have my A3 vtec killer (A2 cams) and i'm planning to do the same, put A2 or Type R piston, put a set the Z1 cams ( bought very cheap), maybe i will be using a K24A1 head if i can find one in good condition and cheap. Please keep updating. Good luck.

i will go full a2 internals ,a3 crack cant handle what a2 does, a2 crank,pistons ,rods and full head
