Then check some video guides to get familiar with the process but don't follow them, instead follow the popular text based guide. also, you can keep playing online by copying the system to an SD card and making it offline only

Initially there is a sticker-shock reaction I'm feeling, but when you consider being able to load it up with endless roms, and knowing they won't be able to supplement any profit loss with software sales, the cost makes a little more sense. However, as someone else noted here, the lack of four total shoulder buttons really does render this potentially cool device not more than a novelty fresh out of the box. Give me the industry standard and I'll be drooling; but as it stands it is no sale. Kind of a shame. As for the video, wow, what a comprehensive review. I almost feel like I was able to hold and test it myself. Keep up the hard work, all your effort really shines here.

I'm sure there will be more handhelds like that in the near future and for a resonable price. I hope they'll integrate bluetooth and the possibilty for HDMI-Out over USB-C. But the biggest problem with emulating PS2 isn't even the hardware but the emulator. It's still not well programmed and I pray for some skilled people to work on this soon.

I opted to get black shark 2 and couple with a Xbox one controller. I have a 256 GB usb C stick for all my ROMs and keep that in the controller carry case also a hdmi to usb C lead so I can plug into a TV if I ever wanted. Black shark 2 has a snap dragon 855 and runs great. HD it for a year now and still love it. Good video 👍. Glad to see there are more like me in the world

Very interesting review and thanks for that. I've bought me a ROG Phone 2 last october and it does the work with additional ROG Kunai Gamepad but i've paid much more... This device handles it too and costs 600 less. That hurts a bit but emulation on Handheld devices ist going the right way with android in my opinion.

Really enjoyed the review. I took my phone in to get it serviced and the tech used a specialized tool to remove the battery cover (similar to the Xbox360 case removing tool). He said that it prevented warping. It was a very thin piece of stamped aluminium about the size of a credit card. I told him that he could go ahead and just pop the cover off by hand but he looked at me like I just instructed him to deliver a baby with grilling tongues. Anyway he just slid the thing under the edges and they popped up without any effort at all. I went looking for it online but it must be an industry or proprietary thing.

A small correction that you may already know by now. The reason you were able to get Mario Galaxy 1/2 running well is because a critical EFB-CPU setting is disabled. It's required for grabbing pull stars, starbits and a lot of Yoshi's tongue moves. The game isn't playable without it, but enabling is a performance hog. Even on a considerably more powerful S10, average framerate range is 35-45fps.

Is there a good option, for retro gaming on a large living room television without dragging a PC over, building up a raspberry pi, or having a dozen "mini systems" ? I dont have interest in playing Jade Cacoon or Metal Gear Solid on the go.
