Bought my deluxe cab 2 days ago, I love it🥰 XL is pretty and nice but 3/4 scale is the reason I personally choose this machine! If I were to get something like the XL I would have gone for an original cab from back then to be honest!Great review mate you highlighted perfectly the features of this pretty machine💪

Nice review and I really like the evolution of these cabs. Perhaps I wish they condensed a few of the stage to get to this point, but great for what they're worth. As a few others have pointed out, there is actually a demand for this size and form factor. For me, it suits my basement set up perfect. And the last thing I'd want to see 1up head towards is a 1:1 scale, cheap knock off of the legit cabs. Which would probably cost $1000+. I'd like to see these still staying under that sweet spot of

Thanks. I feel like the Deluxe form factor is a great size for home use and looks amazing. I know a lot of people like XL, which I get, but there is no denying that Deluxe is a form factor that's worth keeping, and a price more people can get behind for what the product is

Great review Steve V! Though the Pac-Man Deluxe Cabinet looks very good and the XL version is also out, I am going to hold out for the Pro versions of this and Ms. Pac-Man (black and pink only) and then, I would part with my Legacy Cabs of both, which I like, but I like bigger. Bigger is better!

You may be right, especially that another company has now taken over for A1Up's parent company, Tastemakers. If the pro version doesn't come to fruition, I would then get the XL version and a Ms. Pac-Man XL version.@@andfonseb

I am sending mine back. I brought the deluxe version and although it is ok, but what the video does not show is the joins of the so called riserless design, it is still a riser just redesigned as you have to build the bottom and then attach the top to it. I am 5'9 and it was reasonably comfortable for me to stand there playing a game, any one taller I would not recommend it, buy the XL instead. The attract mode is very disappointing, no sound on the Pacman attract and it would only show the attract mode for the game you are currently on, it would not go through the list. However, Arcade 1up maybe be closing it's doors in the future, especially with Atgames partnering with Zen. Major downside for me on this cabinet is Rolling Thunder a horizontal game being played on a vertical screen. Games being repeated so you buy one cabinet, you already have the other games installed. The deluxe pretty much is still a kids toy, and the artwork if fitting together on a hard floor such as concrete as I did it will scratch. If the attract mode had more sound and you had multiple machines, so that it sounded like an arcade would have been my preference, I know I will be sad to see my cabinet go back, but I think that I might just settle for the Atgames 4K arcade and pinball and call it a day.

Steve V. I'm glad the screen works for you. I agree, looking at it head on, the screen looks decent, but I couldn't downgrade from the better screen uniformity I experience at all angles and distances on my current Namco Legacy Pac-Man version. And your video shows the big difference in screen quality when you placed it next to your Atari Legacy. The Atari Legacy also has a slant, but not to an extreme, which allows it's vibrancy to perform equally across the whole of the screen. Though also a BOE monitor, the new Pac-Man Deluxe shows that it can't handle that low of an angle and Arcade1Up just pushed the tech too far. Is it the worst I've ever seen? No. But when I have a superior monitor experience for a cabinet I paid $199 for, I couldn't justify shelling out more money for a worse experience, even though the Deluxe comes with an additional 2 games I really want. But here's the thing. Not everyone is me. Some people actually dig this monitor set up and that's why options are so important. What makes me happy Steve is you got something you really wanted and I can hear in your voice the satisfaction this new machine brings you. That's all that matters at the end of the day. I love the fact that we can share our Home Arcade journeys and yours has been awesome to follow. You have an AMAZING space and I've enjoyed seeing it evolve! Thanks as always for sharing! vgv

I completely hear where you're coming from VGV. The angle on the Legacy cabinets do make that BOE monitor look fantastic from all angles where the Deluxe cabinet does have a bit of wash out from certain spots. I can see why you feel the way you feel. I personally I'm ok with it cause the experience in front of the cabinet seems fine but I do understand your point. I love the Deluxe form factor and love the fact that they slanted the screen to make the Namco cabinets look more authentic to the original cabinets. I think it would have been nice if they did a bit of Q.A. to see how the screen would perform before releasing the cabinets, but we know Arcade1Up doesnt work that way. They make a cab, listen to the complaints, and then make those improvements on the next years line. Hopefully the 2024 Deluxe line of cabinets will have a screen that can perform well in all angles.

Definitely I would change the joystick and buttons. I saw this cab at Costco and really like it until I check the joystick and buttons and they are really junk.

The buttons and joystick are cheap, but they get the job done. It would be nice going forward if they added better quality sticks and buttons. I think at the price point their selling at, its a must

Hey GG. I would say there abit better, but not there not great. You can tell they still cheaped out on the controls. I thought the joysticks was better the first few weeks I had the cab but now I realize it might be close to being the same. Can you still play the games ok?.. yes. To me, that's the main thing, so it does the job

As a hard core gamer that grew up playing in arcades, I would say a big no cause of the money, I bought a X arcade tank gaming board and forget that, I play all retro games on my 55 inch big screen tv or my cpu monitor, I feel this is a waste of money, just get a arcade tank with MAME get all the games have a kick butt sound system and now your gaming, but as I say to each his own, machine looks nice, but I would rather have an original, or what is the point.
