00256 type R CW checking in here... Glad you made this video... Throw a hondata base tune on this.. for another 1000 engages your talking 345 hp on a 3100lb car. Was next to a 2016 hellcat at a light stock tires.. told the guy I would give him 50 bucks if he could beat me to 80 from a dig... No contest... I laughed all the way to 80 as his tires spun for 3 seconds straight... Best bang for your buck. 36k for a car that will be worth 25k + in 5 years is worth it... Then you take your type r sell it and have 30k down for that used GTR you've wanted now your a 10 second car owner.

No, it's not worth it IMHO. The pricing they are asking is outrageous for a used car, which is effectively a situation where you may be spending money to inherit someone else's problems (some of which a warranty may not cover.) I like the CTR a lot, but it's simply not worth that much money and there are fun alternatives for less.

No you shouldn't. Every sport cars are used and abused, ESPECIALLY A CIVIC TYPE R! These still cost over $30k used. The only ones under $30k are salvaged titles. Just do yourself a favor and get a new Veloster N instead. The Type R is overpriced.

I own a Civic Type R, and no one should be buying a Used Civic Type R at current market prices.

Tcho Laury why do you want to pay new MSRP for a used car that been enjoyed by the previous owner.

What if they made an Accord Type R? Maybe like a 2.5 liter inline 4 turbo with a bonkers torque rating?

Even though somebody at Honda should be severely punished for not providing an optional Type R coupe, this is a bad-ass ride that I could drive everyday. Really nice color.

Joe, since you have owned both a Focus RS and a Civic Type R which one would you buy if you had to choose between the two?

For what you get , it's a great deal. I would love one without a rear wing. But then again without the wing it will be fugly.

@@athfdrizzle I couldn't do the blue. Too many Subaru fan boys with their WRX's and STI's in that color, nothing personal to your choice.

STIs are the cheapest of them all, simply because there are a lot of them on the market. here in the pacific NW, the pre-owned Type-Rs are all selling over their MSRP. and the Focus RS is holding its value very well.

That color is nice. I just do NOT like the rear. And if the price is right, I'd probably consider getting a used CTR. And by right price I mean below MSRP. 😊👍

Love this video and car! Ugh. I'm in split decision. I love the Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring, Type R in that color, but looking at either the Acura RDX Technology or Aspec trim in the blue. Both are practical, sporty, lots of room, and the handling is sooo stiff yet drives like a cloud. Decisions.. lol
