@@benbansal Honestly, it's gonna come down to driving each of these cars and seeing which one connects with you the most. I cant speak much for the Jag as I dont really look into them that much, but from what I've personally heard, they tend to have a lot of quality issues and spend a lot of time with the mechanic. As far as it goes between the Lexus and the porsche, they are dynamically different cars. The LC is a true GT car while the Cayman is a dedicated sports car. The Porsche will out perform the Lexus all day given its essentially a mid engine go kart and weighs over 1,000 lb less. However, it probably wont come close to the comfort and daily driveability that the lexus has. You gotta go get behind the wheel and see which one you like more. Hope this some what helps!

Forget about this LC500 having a Yamaha engine (same w/ LFA btw) their best selling sports cars- the GR86 & the Supra? If you’re looking at buying one, I’ve owned one and here is why I got rid of it. I paid cash for it and owned it for over a year and it is a nice car, but I decided to get rid of it. Maintenance on this car is very expensive. Brakes and tires costs around 4k dollars and both don’t last very long. You can expect, at the most 20k miles before you have to replace both. I did not find the fit and finish in this car to be that good. The doors close and rattle, the entire passenger door panel had to be replaced because the leather was not stuck and was bubbling. I never drove this car hard or tracked it. Now, this car was very reliable and you can expect that from a Lexus. You should not have any issues with the engine. Overall, it was a good experience with the car, I traded it in at a Lexus dealer at the peak of used car prices and got more than I paid for it. I bought a new Lexus rx 350 for my wife and walked out with 15k in cash. The engine is incredible, the car is fast and it’s a Lexus. Most people don’t drive them very much, so the wear items should last awhile. Will you like it , yes. Will you keep it long term, I’m not sure about that !

Your feedback is valuable to me. $4K for tires and brakes every 20K miles is something to prepare mentally for. Will see if I still want it in couple years or I will settle for the ES350 grandpa mobil. Although I make a 7 figure income but I am frugal like Warren Buffett.😅

@@Rocket9944 do you have an LC? They have 21” tires and they are not cheap. My issue is how fast they wear out. I mean when you’re in the market for a $60,000 car and you want high performance especially from a big old V8 it makes sense people look at the 0-60 time of 4.6 and chose something else. Don’t get me wrong 4 and a half seconds to 60MPH is faster than anything you’ll ever need for “regular driving”. That being said for that same money every other offering from every other car manufacturer is a second plus faster which is enormous. The LC500 handles very well for its size, and sounds much better and louder than you would expect from a Lexus. It's also going to be reliable, and turn heads. It's the best choice if it will be your daily driver, or close to it. Make sure and get a car with the variable ratio steering and rear wheel steering. Jags are not known for reliability. The Cayman S is also great, but will not turn as many heads. I would only consider a 981 with the 3.4L flat-six and a 6-speed manual. Drive both an LC500 and a Cayman S and get the one that you like the most. Good luck.

@stevemoraga8850 Thanks, appreciate your response, after having an Audi for many years maintained and repairs can add up. The cars I mentioned just seemed realistically affordable and sensible for the price range for what you get (something that looks like it costs way more) yeah I feel you that the porche won't stand out as much. The Jag looks like a lot of fun to drive but if it's going to be riddled with issues, not good.....I guess the only thing that dettered me is Lexus just doesn't seem as popular, If I'm going to spend that much I want it to be something flashy. I'm in Australia and where I live there are maybe 2 LC500s in the whole city so it would stand out....I've never been a sheep so this being something unique and not as common might be the go, yes next stage is to test drive and keep researching and hopefully in several months I can afford one.....would def be getting my mechanic to safely disconnect the valves for the exhaust so I get the V8 sound at lower revs

People who are all about raw performance numbers will be better off choosing one of the other cars mentioned here. Having said that, the LC 500 is the only exotic (yes, it qualifies in my mind) that I would consider taking a multi-state week long roadtrip in. I would probably downsize the wheels to 18"-19" (if they fit over the brake calipers) to minimize the chance of damage on questionable roads, but other than that all you need is the usual pre-trip oil/filter change and inspection before hitting the open road. Even in the unlikely event something does go wrong you're far more likely to find a nearby Lexus (or Toyota, they can do most things to an LC 500) dealership in the middle of nowhere Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho etc vs an Audi, Jaguar, Porsche or even BMW dealership. In other words these things are built like tanks and will still be driving and performing showroom new in another decade...can you say the same about a Ferrari, Lambo or literally anything else in the same category?😉

GTRs aren’t on the road much because up until 2018 all previous years the ride quality is extremely harsh! Like so harsh you fell like the vehicle is broken, a very raw and rough driving experience even when driving the speed limit. The new models are significantly better, more or less similar ride quality to driving on typical coil overs which is still to harsh for some people.

In the future people will say I remember when you could pick these up for 60k

Be aware Lexus parts are very expensive. For 60K it's a bargain.

Yea if you buy them directly from Lexus. Lexus parts are not made by Lexus anyway. So you can buy 3rd party.

The black interior is super boring though... RED leather is the only way to go with these

The answer is NO, although the LC500 is good looking, but nah, I rather get an M2 Competition, M3 CS, or M4.

Well if I was going to get a sports car that's the one I would get Gray's a good color white to good color the V-8 engine with a hardtop that's a good price to depending on the mileage

My only disagreement is the comparison vehicles. A 5 year old example of a GTR or an R8 are significantly more expensive

Testers maligned the car for being heavy and having “only” 478hp. Not class leading. But it has so much going for it compared to rivals. By far the easiest to live with. I agree with everything stated here.

478 horse power yet weighs more than a hellcat… LC500 is exactly the same performance time as the 4 cylinder eco boost mustang which is saying something.
