I've tested the PS30 myself. I was briefly able to get 14W before it settled on 12W after being in the sun for a bit. Once it heats up it drops to an average of 10W as you saw. Solar panels should output at least 75% of their rated power in good conditions. This one outputs 33%. I've also tested simultaneous USB-C and USB-A output and ended up with a 6W and 3W split. At 9W, it's worse than testing USB-C alone. At $80 MSRP it's not worth it.

Is there one around 30-60 w that you could recommend to me? I was looking at the X dragon 40w for smaller power banks and needed something that would charge even in cloudy winter conditions. Ty man.

The TopSolar Solarfairy is so much better. $30 cheaper, has Type C 12V Output for fast charging, a barrel jack so it can be used to charge more powerful power banks or stations, and has QC 3.0 up to 20 watts on it's USB-A Port. Problem is, they are out of stock.

The reviewer never actually charged a laptop or any other device, he just plugged it in and read how much wattage he was getting. About 13W, that's right, because in IDEAL conditions, each of the ports 'should' provide 'up to' 15W, and - COMBINED - gives you 'up to' 30W (in reality, more like 7W each, if you're lucky). And you'll never be able to charge your laptop, unless you keep it in a 'tent', away from the sunshine and then - mind you - the sun 'moves' (well, we do! ;) so you'd need to keep re-adjusting the sun-shade every now and then AND readjust the solar panel too, so that it faces the sun at the best angle. The claim that this panel is 'good for hiking' is pure nonsense, walking with this panel, strapped to your backback, you'd need to face away from the sun all the time, and the bottom 2 panels will be partly, or fully, not exposed to the sun anyway. You might, just might, half-re-charge your cell phone in a day. If it's sunny. As to 'camping', sure, if you camp real wild and are happy to leave your cell / laptop and the solar panel aside, while you do... I dunno, sunbathe? I guess it might work for angling, when you do hang around, but for all other uses, it's just way inefficient, no matter how they try to sell the '30W' claim. p.s. he didn't mention cycling, well, I did try it for cycling, and it was a waste of time, the best I got on a sunny day was about 1/3 extra top up on my cell phone (panel strapped to the top of the panniers). Fortunately I had a power bank, 20K and topped it up every few days or so. Ultimately, for long-distance cycling, a sort of a dynamo might work.
