For everyone that has trouble blending with the masters... Make sure its adjusted close dont zero gap it cause its going to eat your guards and make a ton of noise. Just get it close and it will remove the skin line fine. 1. Blade open about 2 fingers width (when you adjust your masters it opens to about a half halfway open on a wahl) blend the guide out using the notches. Its fool proof and will blend perfect everytime and quickly if you go through all the notches trust me. 2. 1 guard open another 2 fingers (same thing with clipper adjusted it will be your 1.5 guard halfway open) blend the guide out using notches. 3. Some hair types may leave a faint shadow or line between the blade open and the 1. (Remember you jumping from half halfway open to a 1 closed its possible it doesnt blend perfectly) All you do is use no guard open or slightly closed from open and flick out at it using the corners of your blade and it will blend clean into the 1. Or if you not comfortable doing that put the 0 guard on and go from halfway then closed and flick it out. It comes out easy it just sounds complicated. 4. Fades done from skin to a 1.5. At this point you can do clipper over comb scissor over comb or use more guards for the rest. Up to you. Notice that you can do the whole fade with just one guard reliably with the andis master saving you a ton of time. Hell when im fading i literally just keep the 1 guard in my off hand the whole fade process cause its the only guard i need. Hope this helps!

Just un-zero gapped mine and you are correct, not as noisy. Also, I see one of my purple magnet guards has little white stress lines underneath where the blades (once zero gapped) touched the plastic and were lightly sawing into it.
@Mike-hy8cs3 жыл бұрын
@@johnq.random7360 yeah if you have trouble with the skin line with the masters i reccommend people to have a second clipper with a fade blade/flat blade to remove the skin line then switch to the masters for everything else. I never zero gap the masters its not what its for with the standard blade. Its meant to make blending easier not removing a trimmer line or 0 line.

Used corded Andis Masters and Wahl seniors all my years cutting. Been using cordless magic clip and seniors the past 2years and been disappointed. in the cordless game with everything I tried to replace them with was not enough so I had to get cordless masters. Sadly I wasn’t as impressed as you are and took one more try at Caliber 50 cal mag and man I was so impressed I got rid of all Andis and Wahl cordless. With a Caliber taper on one and Wahl fade blade on the other, I now finally have the best blend of Wahl/Andis in .50 cal mag. Sorry, got to excited back to Andis cordless masters; 1.too noisy 2.they are more bulky(I have big hand) 3. 90min run time sucks 4. Way over priced. They do cut good but won’t last long as the corded would. JMO. Anyway great review man

You really don’t need Expensive clippers and extra expensive Trimmers to do an amazing job on someone’s head you really just need the Talent. We live in a world where people just constantly want the hottest new thing when it literally does the same thing your present clippers do.

Mr. Outliner I know you said that for the mentioned results Andis said don't zero gap BUT how do YOU feel about zero gaping Masters in your 20 years experience or anybody else that can answer that question to whether it's a drastic experience doing it.
@Mike-hy8cs4 жыл бұрын
The reason you dont zero gap the andis masters is because if you zero gap it it eats the guards. It will make a loud noise whenever you put a guard on. What you want to do is adjust it close enough where it removes the trimmer line but not close enough to where its going to eat the guards. It may take some time to get it right but once you set it right its the best cutting clipper in the world imo. This is coming from someone that has used pretty much every professional clipper there is except for jrl and caliber. Hope this helps.

If you adjust the blade close to take out the skin line it opens more like a half guard halfway open. You will notice it sometimes doesnt blend perfectly into the 1 guard closed. You either have to flick at the line with the blade open or put the 0 guard on there and smooth it out. Its pretty easy to get out though so definitely suggest adjusting it unless you want to use another clipper to take out the skin line.

It took me like two haircuts to learn how to use the masters from using wahl clippers only. You just have to realize the blade opens more than any wahl clipper. It opens almost to a 1.
