Should You Buy Legos New Siege Encampment Set

Not getting this. It's a shame this is what Lego Castle fans have to deal with if they want new castle related sets. I will use the images to help me build my own version of the siege camp. This is what Lego Castle fans want, but not like this, not in one huge set with a large price tag. We want official sets using the various factions that the average consumer can obtain.

Yeah this is the 4 small battle packs everyone been wanting and I really do not like how they market it to go along with the lions knight castle which is beloved by many that will be denied the opportunity to expand it. The program has great intentions but the reality is toxic.

I'm honestly so tired that LEGO is practically exclusively ignoring the medieval line in favor of the Bricklink series to appease us. It's all just inherently impractical and not a proper substitute, given how limited these releases are. I can't afford to get this and the waterfront set simultaneously, along with that wonderful looking Transylvanian castle also designed by Sleeplessnight

The Siege Encampment is a perfect example of what Lego should have broken up into smaller sets, and been releasing all along since the success of the Lion Knight's Castle (as well as the other Bricklink model Castle winners). Now we have another Bricklink set that was voted on showing there's clearly demand, yet just like the Medieval Town Village, we're at 229.00 to purchase instead of being to pick and choose what we'd like at more reasonable price points - add that it'll be limited to a production run of 30,000, and that the 'investors' will be buying 2 to blow up the price and resell, and it's another smack in the face of collect and display fans. This being said, I'm happy that FunWhole's Medieval collection is fantastic, and has been filling in some of the blanks for an expanded village (and for unbelievable prices), and I hope they'll release a full size Castle of their own, and accessorizes to give adult builders/collectors what they'd like without having to break the bank.

I don’t see how anyone can be a LEGO castle fan and skip out on this set. It is currently the missing set that ties all the castle sets together. Can’t have a battle between the medieval factions without the seige encampment. We don’t need another big grey castle. We need accessory sets that complement them, and both the Seige Encampment and Seaside Market does just exactly that

Agreed. I haven’t went out of my way to purchase the lion knights castle but the siege encampment alone is just such a needed lego castle set!!

This set has roughly the same piece count and pricing as the newly released tutor corner, and the later, is a mass production run whereas the seige encampment is a special limited run. I actually think the pricing is quite fair by Lego standards. I was expecting a much higher price tag.

As cool as this set is, I don't have nearly enough budget to justify buying it. But I'm very happy it exists for Castle fans that can shell out the money for it.

I like maybe 1 build out of the whole thing. So being their common parts, I'll just part what I like out it. I like the seaside market more and will be getting that day 1

I got the Forest Stronghold set, so I'll have to skip out on this one. Lego is a VERY expensive hobby, so I really need to budget my money and decide which sets are "must haves" compared to sets that are "cool".

This is a must buy Imo, it's simply smtg that I've wished for more than a decade😂 I was kind of expecting to cost around 200€ but the minifigs kinda makes it worth it. All being said can't wait to get my hands on it. The other set, the medieval seaside castle simply doesn't work for me, I don't really see it as complementary to Lion knights castle so I'm gonna skip that and I'll put those money aside for the upcoming Wolfpack set.

It's a weak set. And this is overall the worst Bricklink phase we've seen. The train is childish, the boat is dumb, the siege camp is overpriced... it's just a lousy lineup.
