When I’m spending my cash on toys. I lean closer to the adult collectors angle. These technically feel that way, due to price point but they still feel like children’s toys. Maybe that’s just Matel? And with no nostalgia for MOTU, I don’t need this variant. I’m glad it exists though. Great video as always. Really enjoy the candid opener.

So I have a convoluted history with both lines: Raised on 80s turtles and toys in the 90s and didnt get into He-man until the 200x Reboot (Along wirh the 2002 TMNT revitalizing my interest) Story wise MoTU is best described as "He-Man in the eternal struggle to defend Eternia from the Evil of Skeletor" Thats how I'd describe it to a kid. That said youre right in that it has its struggles whereas TMNT just adapts each generation...and well. I think for this particular line as fans of both Im mainly grabbing the TMNT heavy leaning ones because these style of figures have good articulation and their fun designs: The 4 Turtles Shredder Probably Krang Given both properties have strong ties to each other both at their respective inception (Mark Taylor working on both) AND the unproduced DC/IDW Comic crossover it doesnt feel super far fetched. Its not like they had the Turtles Crossover with Bucky O' Hare or the Toxic Crusaders.

It's a pass for me. Some of them look interesting but not enough the open my wallet over. I'm hoping to one day see some of the knock off lines like Galaxy Fighters to see production and I guess the odds of that happening is how well lines like this do. So hey, knock yourselves out.

Okay I've got to be honest here. As a huge fan of both Motu and TMNT growing up I think its lame. It honestly feels desperate on Mattel's end. History repeats itself. It looks like 87 all over again on the store shelves. Ironically MOTU was winding down in 87 just as TMNT was taking off. Maybe Mattel fears history is repeating itself. People have been saying for a while now that this new He-Man run is at its end. This may very well be the case just like in 87. Mattel is like oh crap TMNT is going to take over again. So in a desperate hail mary attempt they decided to "join forces ". Now I know it sounds like I'm hating but honestly I'm really not. I know that there are fans out there of both Moto and TMNT who will be estatic about this crossover and that's fine. As far as Motu is concerned I blame Mattel for any lack of sales. 3 yrs out and you still can't find theses damn toys anywhere. Hence what I said about it seeming desperate. I could be totally wrong and that's okay. I know it's all fun and fiction. I just don't think this is a good fit just my opinion.
