So why don't you band them and just let them fall off? Is this similar to how you do your cows?

Banding can cause more discomfort over time and hurt the pig for longer. Also baby pigs could more easily break those bands due to their smaller and more agile size.

The testes are flush with the pigs body so can't really get a band on.
