Sometimes scavs say for BEAR something like "compatriot we don't want to shoot". I don't know if they say anything similar for USEC but if you don't get too close so they don't

they say the same for usecs too (source: im usec and hear it all the time) but on top of that they have special lines for if u talk to them first with voicelines, theyll answer something along the lines of "hey foreigner, fuck off, understand?" with the fuck off being in very broken english

They should also add/revamp the faction selection menu, to show you hey "you get this this this with Bear, but this this this with USEC" Just a small bullet point list, maybe color coded, like spark notes. And also a button for "Preview initial Stash contents", where it gives you a menu just like your stash but you cant move stuff around, just interact, open containers, open weapons etc. That would be a good redesign of the faction selection menu, give the people the information they need to make the choice..

There is really no choice to be made though. That's the point of this video. The video exists for people who are confused about the nerdy stuff - WHY don't others play one faction vs another HOW it will affect the gameplay etc etc... The Devs can't communicate this information themselves anyway they are necessarily apart from the people who PLAY the game. What you say here is you want 20+ hours of work and UI fuzz so that you can understand more details that have NOTHING to do with playing the actual game... Nah.

@@user-c4b9b Well, yes, agreed, it might be more work to do, but in my opinion lack of information is a bad design choice, that's all im trying to say. Games should feel good to play but they should also be able to communicate well with the user, not straight up telling you or lead you by the hand, but it should have systems and mechanics from which you can INFER the real information, by engaging with said mechanics and systems. Tarkov is really bad at this in some departments, where you don't know what is what, you just have to take a guess or watch 5 youtube videos about the game instead of engaging with it and being rewarded with knowledge...

And other bear voice lines got lot more slang and jokes i them, when usecs usually sound more profesional. No wonder that it is like that because developers are russian.

The best thing to happen is that players go 50% BEAR and 50% USEC, that way we have an equal distribution, so people can find plenty of players to kill without getting punished by karma.... They should probably add a system where it says how many players are bear and how many usec, and give something like a % xp boost the first 10 levels or sth, or bonus gear or bonus money, for the side that has little players, that way they can influnece and control the balance of the factions.

Im also suspecting BEAR is going to be a lot easier to farm PMC karma. Assuming killing same faction lowers it, There are a lot more usec. Killing other faction raises it, a lot less bears to kill. I dont think people are going to be able to tell each other apart to stop killing each other ever.

Big thanks and like to Giga 4 the video! As the additional note: the BEAR gets the functioning (while out of the Factory) mechanical wristwatch while the USEC gets the non-functioning one. Not a huge difference but, as the BEAR only player who prefers the nightly raids, I find it very practical to know how long do I have till the next dusk/dawn. 🙂

Good summary. Something I'll add is I find it easier to identify Bear PMCs with their sleeves rolled up. And I often wonder if stealth is more difficult on green maps because of it, so investing in long sleeve clothing can be a small money sink that USEC doesn't need to worry about.

Fun fact Bears are statistically 100% better with 0% disadvantage. Bears Can be friendly with rogues when u get LH keeper + once they have a faction thats allied with them u can be allied with both. But its possible it will be possible for Usecs to buy something to be friendly with the opposite faction also Bears get flashbang shotgun rounds ll3 not ll4 (+ prapor is sooner)

You can literally run around the middle of water treatment as a usec as long as you don't go through the front door or go in the buildings.

USEC or bear doesnt make any difference as long as you know how to approach the water treat. If you kill a roque as USEC, you will be shot the next round just as if you were BEAR, so it doesnt matter ... Choosing a USEC because of Lighthouse is pure bullshit :D You have to fight rogues one way or the other, and it´s not that hard to kill the 3 or 4 rogues that might be a threat for you. All other encounters in the WTP are random and not very hard, unless its the goons

I always go bear but this wipe I'm tempted to go usec for two reasons. 1) the Aug that you can purchase on day one of the wipe has fantastic stock stats and combining that with the m855 ammo given is really effective early. 2) I want that Dead Vektor t-shirt you can unlock as usec.

The main difference being, mid to late wipe it's VERY hard to find any Bear's to kill for the quests where as 90%+ people you'll run into is USEC So some quests take longer to finish. otherwise no real difference

I usually go Bear just cuz I prefer the Vityaz to the MP5 sure it has a lower rof but it's more controllable and there's far more you can do with it in terms of modding. I also like Bear because they start with 5.45 weapons and good ammo is really easy to find early on.

On South-East of the Shoreline map, there is the entrance to the upcoming map Terminal, where in the Tarkov Raid lore, is where BEARs were supposed to extract, and its guarded by RUAF soldiers on top of the watchtowers and at the main gate. I'm not aware of an ideas to add RUAF Soldiers to Woods, but I could just be missinformed.

The classiest thing to do is play broken english BEAR: you get BEAR drip, the voice is cool, and your voicelines positively ID you as a PMC. It's the real Bond villain move-- I do it every wipe since they added the english Russian accent voices. On a slightly more autistic note: I think BEAR makes more sense in terms of starting gear as well-- you're so much more likely to find stuff in-raid that you can use with your starting gear early in your wipe experience when using combloc kits. Actually trying to run western guns early wipe sucks because you need high level traders to make it work consistently, whereas as a BEAR running AKs you're gonna find 5.45 ammo and mags all over the place, and relevant other accessories are common as well either sitting around or on scav guns. But realistically, the starting gear won't last that long anyway so it's not a huge consideration.

Before gun smith 1 you cant buy low gas block for M4 and beside MRS (barely usable) you cant buy any sight that high enough for M4, a little problem for playing USEC but I guess not really a thing people really care

It does matter. As a BEAR, you had the mission to find the evidance of the crimes, commited by TerraGroup, while as USEC, you had to cover it up. In Resident Evil, BEAR is like STARS while USEC is U.S.S. or UBCS... basicly the military unit under Umbrella Corp. Yes, TerraGroup and Umbrella are the same in that instance and henceforth, USEC work for the bad guys. Anything else is only in relations to the diffrend factions in Tarkov and until the regular russian forces are here, only USEC has some benefits.

You totally forgot that USEC is easy mode, you can actually do several tasks on lighhouse with usec just by running there, which can be huge pain in the ass with BEAR. I just tried it first time with usec this wipe and the game is half easier with usec. It is so incredible how easy it was. With bear you often die halfway of the map if you are trying to get in water plant area.

BEAR has the drip, for sure. And it's easier to find AK food than AR food in raid. But mostly I go USEC because the wounded breathing sounds of the BEAR make me want to rip my headset off and stomp on it like a toddler throwing a hissy fit.

Ummm.... yeah about that party thing, are we sure it's going to stay like this? Remember that PMC Karma is supposed to come in 0.15 right? Remember, tarkov has friendly fire right? Yeah uhhh i don't think things are going to stay that way, maybe add a disclaimer or pinned comment? (Altough, it's sooo BSG-like to put PMC Karma in the game and just have people queue up as different factions in the same party and just farm Karma rank on each other XD) (It might also be that for once they are proactive and think things through before doing them, and they will make it so party members dont't affect PMC Karma..)

Karma will hardly be influenced by which faction you kill, but more on actions in game. It's literally impossible to implement a karma system where you don't shoot other people to increase it, the game is a pvp shooter so shooting in sight will and should never be compromised but some stupid mechanic

@@nrares21 no, and that's why it will never influence the pvp in that way. I do like the idea of losing karma if you camp exfils or maybe you get some kills with triwire mines, but it would be anti-fun to have a karma that forces you to think twice in the moment you have someone on sight. The other person could give no fucks about it, turn and shoot you down. You lost time and gear. It's like the armor system they tried to implement this wipe: cool and realistic on paper, impossible to balance at the current state of the game unless reworking some core mechanics, such vital areas. It led to frustration, no sense on progression or equipping better gear. As usual, they balanced it without knowing what to do, now we have the opposite problem, but that's a dev issue, we all know BSG devs are incompetent developers that don't even play their own game.

Never played EFT; In my perspestive from thought, maybe it's mostly based on the players preferences on what faction they want to side with. For example, if they want to be American, sure, if Russian, sure. Everything from gunfights etc. implies on the player other than the faction. Because of that, I swear someone will friendly kill their own faction accidentally. (Or intentionally as trolling?)

11:29 on pve it’s ridiculous I swear every pmc i see is usec I’m on western servers so I think it might be trying to keep it in line with what it’s like on the pvp servers but I swear it’s been impossible for me to find a pmc that’s not instant agro on me
