Great video, it would have been cool if at least one of the newer characters were a 45 shard unlock, that would relieve some of the pressure from those that uses power cores.

I’m hoping that scopely has calculated a way to make sentinel and other future characters obtainable. I don’t mind this release method if it means that ftp can atleast unlock the character to 3*.

I try not to use the 675 core option on a regular basis however, going back approximately 1 year or so I noticed that I was always often five stars short and so I started opening one of the 675 offers per character release for key teams for me which are raid and/ or arena. Arena is important to me because it gets me the chores that I need to help me competitive as a FTP player and read next because that is where the better rewards come imo. At least currently with the crimson gear which we all need. For annihilators Island 3 x675 Cores each, 6 for Thanos, which is more for a team that I have ever done but I was sitting on 10,000 cores. I hope this does not become sop but I'm afraid it will be. I don't think there are any skippable characters anymore Scopelycreates problems and it's always going to be the new characters that solve these problems. And I'm fine with that as long as there is an option for free to play commanders to stand a chance. However, that being said it gets exhausted always having to horde it should be nice to have regular gameplay without having to jump through all these silly hoops

They increased Arena cores for a reason. This is going to become the new norm and I guess the options for players are to engage with this new norm or to quit. It is kind of sad but that's the direction MSF is going.

With my resources I will not be able to core for Sentinel or any other character. I will be able to open an orb or two. That in combination with the event will have to be enough. I don't like this dependence of coring as part of a character release because once again the rich get richer. Those of us that cannot get the characters for the current arena meta right away will be further down the leader board and not getting enough cores to unlock the new characters right away. I suppose I could get lucky with a orb but I can't count on that. I know nothing really has changed from before. The spenders will always buy the new characters and have the advantage no matter the release method but with more use of cores I think this puts us FTP players further behind. In the past I used cores if I needed a little boost to put me over the top the get a character released. Now it seems coring will be required, not to mention all the other uses for cores.

If your aim is to unlock Orchis ASAP but you can't core for each character, surely it makes sense to save your cores for Nimrod and Prime given that it will take longer for them to release and therefore you will get fewer of their shards from orbs and milestones?

Who is Prime? They will all take over a month to unlock F2P, so I am giving my opinions that the first 2 are the ones you are going to want to have on the team to allow for you to clear Tech Orchis faster. If you aren't in Orchis then this team may have overall less value for you.

@@Boilon Sorry, I meant Omega Sentinel, not Prime. My point was that if you want to unlock the whole team but can't core for every character, doesn't it make more sense to core the last 2 since you would expect to get more shards of the first character to be released through orbs and milestones

I feel like we have to core for these new characters (to unlock) anyways or else potentially miss out on events later on when we can't core for them anymore and haven't hit the free unlock event yet.

Yeah I mean it's going to be a struggle, going forward I think it will be important to decide what's important to you game mode wise, sucks we got 2 raid teams back to back though in this new era.

Nimrod has some synergy with Mysterio since he is a tech character that has summons to give him speed outside of raids.

That's fair, but the more orchis characters you use the worse Mysterio is because you want him to have 2 Sup Six to activate most of his extra stuff on his special otherwise he's somewhat useless i think

Since Sentinel's Seige has a core orb in it, it seems like they will have to keep in in store for 60d it runs. I'm going to wait for now.

So arena is the only way im up on cores im around 4000 cores i hope they are letting us get orbs i did see in raids but mystic for me is awful were on diff 2 you think we should drop a difficulty cuz clearing is rough

I was considering coring but with Lady Death Strike or Scientist Supreme built up it doesn’t really make sense for me at this point. Will this team be strictly a raid team or will they be useful in other game modes?

As someone who has not play tested the entire team, I cannot say beyond raiding. But, there have been some people who have debated the overall usage of these new era characters especially at low stars. So, I would say at low stars the bigger impact will be their intended game mode until later.

Omega Sentinel will give the team longevity with the healing. She'll probably be important in the higher level/difficulty raids.

I mean the entire team is going to be important at D3. I just mean as far as biggest impact on anything that is not there it won't be her really. You won't get away without using the full team at the top end though. But, I would argue if this is what you're doing you're either going to core EVERYONE, or open your wallet lol.

Just give it a month or 2 it'll be free to play so far only captain Britain has been pay gated... I haven't paid for any characters and have all the annihilators but thanos open with very few core orb openings ! I quit worrying about having soon as out and just be patient and with alittle luck and determination will get eventually !

I mean, I guess if you're okay with waiting 30-60 days for a character that's amazing patience. Most people who play hero collectors shouldn't expect to have to wait this long and the change in this direction is nothing short of garbage.

You correctly said there are no upcoming core milestones but there is an ISO milestone- if you could unlock Sentinel via cores by NOT doing the 150 ISO refresh daily, what do you do?

I mean this upcoming event gives Gladiator shards. If you are hard pressed for Gladiator shards I would make sure you get those extra 40 from the milestone I pointed out in my previous video.

The problem with gacha system as a f2p you need to save the currency for you to unlock a new character, but when it comes to gacha it doesnt affect your overall game play itself by not getting the character, same cannot be said to msf why, because MSF have both pvp and pve content that requires you to have certain characters for you not to struggle! Which overall impacts your gameplay, i been playing gacha games for many years now, longer then msf, and i know for a fact gacha have balance between f2p and p2p, here in msf they're like a noob company, they dont know what they're doing, you have literally built raid teams to tackle raid content, arena teams to tackle arena content, how the f*ck can you do those by a freaking gacha system, yeah they up the arena rewards, but its not near enough to completely unlock and entire team, not to mention this scopely sh*t add events that require you to core, instead of giving us more cores, so how the f*ck does this company going to address this issue if what you said it will be a gacha system, they can go that route but give us events that reward cores! If they really want to stick with this sh*t thats how other gacha game works, every event they put in gacha currency you can get while doing the event, but do i see msf doing that? No! So how the hell will they go to gacha system release method! Especially raids is one of the important game mode, so what will f2p do? Relay to spenders to carry them while they wait for the chance of unlock? What a bull crap

You made some great points here. I'm playing SLA right now and you're right you can't really have a functioning gacha in which you have required characters to do Siad content. That is one of the delineations between gacha games and games like this. Like you said we don't get enough currency to participate in events and unlock characters as it seems they want us to do.

What I see basically is that, in every game, the studio will require a payment from you in two forms: either money or time. If you don’t want to spend time, spend your money; don’t want to spend money, then spend time. But, what we see right now feels like Scopely doesn’t care if you spend time or not (or take it for granted that you have to) and just want you to spend money. The only ‘spend time’ part is spend it on waiting. Not spending it on event or content grinding for currency or anything that could be converted into new characters and such.

That's why this method is stupid, minimum cores needed to unlock 1 character is 10k if that character is a 100 shards unlock, we're lucky if it isn't, but how many characters do we get now that is 45shards unlock? Like almost none! The majority of characters that are being released are 100shards unlocked, and they expect us to have a functioning team with that kind of method? Are they stupid, the event orb they give are all sh*t how many shard drops do we get with those shitty orbs? 1?3? None? Yeah that's the reality those are the drops we get, unless they increase the drop rate of those orbs, still the best option is to core, which you will need cores to do it, now not only do we need to have the meta arena team for us to stay on the top, which by the way am still missing gorr, and not able to climb to rank 20, now we are going to get orchis which is a freaking raid team! Scopely thinks having good luck is enough to get a character unlocked, but how about us who are having bad luck? So we will need to wait for the chance to be lucky and how long do we need to wait for it? 1month for just one character? Lol and while waiting for a lucky drop they will release the mystic team next Wow scopely good job

@@Boilon Thanos took 5500-600o out of me then i spent another 2k only because the shatter dimension was bug and the devs made it stay this way. so to secure milestone 19 which was worth it. I needed to get 3 more Thanos orbs for 675. I would normal not do this but the skill gear as you said is hard to get. couldn't pass on it. Hope to rebuild the cores while i can in the meantime.

I've come to the conclusion I'm just going to start pulling 40-50 shards for each new important release, and let the gacha orbs bring me the rest of the way.

That is definitely an option! I will be doing a video hopefully on Thursday that breaks down total power core income by arena bracket and kinda mathing down what our monthly expectations should be given a few scenarios :)
