Hi. My name is Abhishek. I am 30 years of age and working in a MNC for the last 1.5 year. I have a total work experience of 4 years, however, I do not have release letter from the previous employer which is why most of the time it doesn't get counted as an experience. I wish to do MBA. Is it too late for me? Is it a viable option for me? Thanks in advance.

This is great advice! Makes it clear how an MBA can prepare you for a leadership role. The question is: how much should you spend on it if you already make as much as most grads? In the US, programs range from 50k-250k and it becomes hard to justify the ROI over 100k (for me) without switching jobs into better paying roles, companies or industries (consulting, banking, big tech).
@Crackverbal_PrepАй бұрын
Maybe you are right. But you have to look at it in the long term, the more opportunities you get, the more doors that you have access to. The ROI in terms of cost should be over 3-7 years.

One thing to mention is managing family, in 30s people have kids/infants and if your spouse is not strong and is not backing you it's one uphill task. So it's not you alone doing the course your spouse needs to stand besides you. 🙂

@ashishsinha1292 no professional experience would be a tough option to apply for an MBA program. Age is also on the higher side when it comes to applying to MBA programs. However being self-employed and being an entreprenuer is considered as experience. So you would want to pick schools that will value your experience too.

Hi If you are looking at pursuing an MBA abroad then we suggest you take the GMAT.The basic difference between GMAT and CAT is that while CAT is a national level entrance exam, GMAT is a global exam accepted by over 2000+ business schools & 7000 graduate management programs worldwide

Sir I am 32 and I am working as an assistant professor with 4 years of experience.i want to do MBA and change the career path. So if I do MBA now then is it possible to get a corporate job after that
@Crackverbal_Prep3 жыл бұрын
For an MBA abroad, 3 to 4 years of work experience is generally preferred. There is no upper cap on the age limit for pursuing an MBA, and 32 is a good age to consider pursuing one.

Hi Sonu, It really doesn't matter the industry you come from. All that matters is a good GMAT score and academic score to get into any of the Indian B-Schools including the IIMs

Hi Arghya, When you're looking to do an MBA, the most important thing is how clear you are on what you want to do after your MBA. If you have a specific goal in mind and are clear about what you expect from your MBA, then you have a good chance!

Hi , I am a software engineer with about 6 yrs of experience. I quit my job five years ago to pursue IAS . I am back again working in IT. But I have plans to pursue MBA .Should I quit again and join a MBA programme or not?
@Crackverbal_Prep4 жыл бұрын
Hi Varsha, That completely depends on what you want out of an MBA if you plan to pursue one. An MBA degree equips you to become a better leader in various aspects of a Business. If you dream is to lead a team, master in a specific subject under IT, or lead a product team, then an MBA is what you need to do considering you have 5+ years of experience. In case you have more questions, you can reach out to one of our executives on 8880560000 and they will help you with all your queries.

Sir, I am an MBA from Nirma university, but I am not satisfied with what I did in that period of 2 years at Nirma. And I want to do it again from a top institute like an IIM maybe. So should I go for that ? Is it ok to do an MBA twice ? The first time I did it when I was a fresher. The second time I want to do it with a job experience. Kindly tell me is it ok ? And if possible, please make a video on this.
@Crackverbal_Prep4 жыл бұрын
Hi Vatsal, It is ok to do an MBA again if you are not satisfied with the earlier one. You need to have a minimum of 2 years of work experience, along with a good GMAT score to be able to apply to Top B-Schools in India like IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain and others. All the best!

For those thinking whether to opt for loans to study abroad? Please read the below Remeber that student loans require "Collaterals" whether its private or government banks, every bank keeps asking for mortgaged properties or collaterals without which no one sanctions loans. Me and my wife have been trying to get loans from several banks to pursue our masters abroad and its next to impossible to get any student loan sanctioned without a collateral, mostly property. If they even sanction a loan, its up to 8 lakhs (doesn't even cover 1 years tuition fee) and the ROI is more than 9-12% which is ridiculous. Honestly, this is the biggest reason why most student stop aspiring to go abroad unless there is enough funding and backing to provide them with just enough money. For everyone watching this, my current solution to this problem now is, I have stopped thinking that going abroad means better life. You can have a good life in India as well if you works towards it. I have around 9 years of experience and I'm not looking to pursue my masters from Deakin University (Via Upgrad Online MBA), the cost its approx INR 5.50 Lakhs. You can opt for EMIs / No Cost EMIs too. Its WES certified, is equivalent to a Level 9 MBA abroad, the loans can be paid of easily, you keep your current job and can manage other commitments too. I'm suggesting this because many viewers can be like me, who have no backing of property or parents won't have enough money to send you abroad. Its a struggle to arrange funds and it can get disappointing when you see your juniors who are 3-5 yrs younger now going abroad to study. Just understand this that they are privileged and lucky that they have the backing. But don't feel bad, do your best to get what you need even staying back in India and work hard. Just a few points to keep in mind: 1) Take on mostly No Cost EMIs, you save a lot on Interest 2) Do enough research on the course before taking up any online / distance learning courses 3) Speak to Alumnis of the course so you understand its value 2-3 yrs later as well 4) Take up whatever it is you can now, so you don't waste time waiting for money to build up (remember the inflation is now 7%), course fees will only continue to go up 5) Finally trust your gut and believe in yourself. 6) Success story is not always leaving India or your home country for a better life abroad. It can be achieved even in your home country, its always about how you perceive the situation to be. I believe in myself, I have made alternate arrangements to advance in my career and I will get my masters too. All the best to everyone who reads this, may you achieve success in your future goals! Jai Hind!
