BTech alone may not be enough today, one must also be good in Core skills and Soft skills in order to grab a good job (especially if you are in a Tier 2-3 College). Alternate option can be BCA(from a GOOD college) if you are not getting a good BTech College & Branch, want to save some money and want to complete your degree in 3 years. ( In this case one must work on their resume, Coding Skills & good projects)

Alternatively you can go for video editing and Photoshop stuff, learn from skillshare, it's like 3 thousand for a year, huge ROI, once you are an expert you will earn way more than any standard job...I am talking 5-20 thousand an hour for editing and Photoshop or copywriting... research that stuff

Iam pursuing my Btech in marine engineering for that we have to give IMUCET basically after clearing IMUCET we can get into collages from which we can go in maritime sector i.e. merchant navy Iam in India's best collage for BTECH M.E i.e. DMET kolkata from here you directly get placement in merchant navy. Onboard ship you will work as a officer in engine department and trust me this sector is far much better than any other inland job with a really high salary and in this field we are facing a negligible amount of crowd I think it was also a good career option

More accurate would be "IIT/NIT/tier1 nahi mila to life MOST ka jhund". Because even in a private college, no. of students actually cracking good placements are handful. So your probability of success is very little. Better to not do B Tech if you are NOT that interested in coding and just want money. Instead go towards other fields.

@@sxvoc5209 College "does" matter. Your probability of success in IIT >> Private colleges. But you have to work hard in both the colleges ( more in private because you dont get good college placements ). Except for CS, it is worthless to do any other engineering from a private college. I hope you get my point. And life is never chill and settled no matter if you go in IIT, MIT or a bottom tier college. But your probability of success increases tremendously if you are doing eng. from tier 1 colleges.
