I got the lift from a local company called Custom Garage Works in Texas. Their website says it's a Rotary lift. It's rated for 9,000lbs. Not sure which specific model this is. The company did the install.

How much room do you have from the top of the garage door to the ceiling when it is closed? We have 10’-4” ceilings with 31” between the top of the door and the ceiling. We are being told that we can’t make the door any closer to the ceiling.

33" when closed from top of the door to ceiling. When it's open, the door is about 7" from the ceiling

Question about the Liftmaster. A garage door company told me that I could not run an extension cord for the shaft drive lift, but it looks like it is working for you. Any issues? What gauge cord are you using? thanks

I'm running a standard off-the-shelf surge protector with zero issues. The surge protector is only 4 ft long. Not sure of gauge but it's the same as the plug wire coming from the Lift Master. I have a battery tender on that surge protector as well.

Hi, I have a 9' 6' ceiling and I am getting raised tracked on my single bay (3rd car garage door) in about a month. The company installing it told me that the when the door is opened, the door sit approximately 10 inches from the ceiling. Yours looks closer, would you happen to know how many inches you have?

It slopes. The part farthest inside the garage when the door is open is about 4.5 inches from the ceiling. The part of the open garage door closest to the garage entrance it's about 8 inches from the ceiling.

You could add reinforcement if you want (it has holes for floor bolts), but not required with this lift. This lift even comes with a caster kit to be able to move it around
